I wanted to share a little concept I worked on a while back. I started with the idea of sensory friendly clothing, then thought about what felt missing from the market.

So much sensory friendly clothing is aimed at children or leans bright and clinical. I wanted to explore what that could look like for autistic women who want soft fabrics, gentle seams, easily removable tags and no scratchy labels while still feeling stylish and grown up.

I spent years wondering why nobody seemed to notice my work.

Every project felt like shouting into the void. I’d convince myself I needed another course, another qualification, another tweak before people would finally take me seriously.

Looking back, I can see I was waiting for permission to be seen.

Visibility takes time. People need to come across you more than once. They need to remember you and they need time to trust you.

One day you’ll realise people recognise your name, recommend your business, and send enquiries because they’ve been secretly watching you for months.
