Global electronic waste reached 62 million tonnes last year, and that volume continues to grow annually.

Decommissioned computers, screens and devices contain many of the same metals traditionally extracted through mining, including gold, copper, silver, aluminium and palladium. Already extracted, already above ground and available for recovery, this material is increasingly recognised across the industry as urban mining.

At SE Recycling, we specialise in recovering these materials through accredited, compliant treatment processes. Every device we process is assessed to maximise material recovery, helping divert valuable resources from landfill and return them to the supply chain for use in new electronics.

By supporting organisations with secure, nationwide collection and recycling services, we help our clients turn redundant IT assets into a genuine resource while meeting their environmental and compliance obligations.

SE Recycling has helped one of our clients generate a £142.59 donation for Wood Street Mission through our sustainable IT collections initiative ♻️

Wood Street Mission continues to provide vital support for children and families across Greater Manchester, and we are proud to support initiatives that create both environmental and social value.

A big thank you to our client who make this donation for supporting sustainable IT recycling and helping make a positive difference.

Improper disposal of electronic waste is a growing contributor to air pollution worldwide. When e-waste is sent to landfill or incinerated, components such as plastics, silicon, and heavy metals can release toxic emissions into the atmosphere. These pollutants pose a serious risk to human health and the environment, with the impact felt most severely in developing countries where informal disposal practices are common.

This is why responsible e-waste recycling matters.

At SE Recycling, we are committed to managing end-of-life electronic equipment through safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible recycling routes. By recovering and reusing valuable materials, we help prevent harmful emissions, reduce pollution, and protect both the environment and public health.

Recycling e-waste is not only about resource recovery. It is about reducing the hidden pollution that threatens communities worldwide.

A good day at the office today!🍕

We treated the team to freshly made pizza for lunch as a small thank you for all of the hard work going on across the group.

It was great to get everyone together for a quick break, good food and a catch-up away from desks and workshops.

Big thank you to everyone across the SER Group for the continued effort and commitment and of course to Slice Of Fire Neapolitan Pizza for the amazing pizza!🤩

We are pleased to share that the SER Group and its divisions are carbon neutral business for the third consecutive year.

Following a comprehensive assessment, our total greenhouse gas emissions for 01/01/2025 – 31/12/2025 were 186.45 tCO₂e. Over this three-year period, 507.76 tCO₂e has been measured and offset, reflecting a consistent approach to managing our environmental impact.

We continue to measure our emissions annually and offset our full footprint through verified global projects, including renewable energy, reforestation, and methane capture, ensuring a like-for-like environmental balance.

Sustainability remains central to our operations across all divisions, as we work to reduce emissions and deliver responsible, compliant solutions across the battery lifecycle and wider recycling activities.

If you are looking to improve sustainability across your operations, we welcome the opportunity to speak.
