The **CapabilityAccessManager.db-wal** file is growing because a known Windows 11 bug creates a loop where the OS repeatedly logs app privacy permission events (like camera, microphone, or location) without compacting the data. This creates a massive Write-Ahead Log (WAL) file.

To safely clear the storage, follow these specific steps:Disable the Service: Open Run (Win + R), type services.msc, and hit Enter. Find the Capability Access Manager Service (camsvc), right-click it, select Properties, change Startup type to Disabled, and click Stop.Locate and Delete:

Navigate to *C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\CapabilityAccessManager*

You may need to fix the Security Permissions - On my PC the folder read as 0 bytes because "Administrators" group was not set the owner!

(you may need to check Hidden items in File Explorer's View menu to see it). Delete the bloated .db-wal file.Re-enable:

Go back to Services, change the Capability Access Manager Service Startup type back to Automatic, and Start the service. Restart your PC.

🚨📡 MAJOR TELECOM UPDATE (Pakistan): Ufone + Telenor Pakistan heading toward a MERGER under PTCL! 🇵🇰
Here’s what this really means for your SIM, signal quality, 4G / 4G+ speeds, and the 5G roadmap 👇

✅ What’s going on?

📌 PTCL (parent company of Ufone) has formally submitted an application to PTA to merge Telenor Pakistan into Ufone (PTML).
PTA will assess network infrastructure, tower assets, business plans, and—most critically—licences and spectrum consolidation. Once PTA review is complete, the process typically moves to SECP and then to a court-approved Scheme of Arrangement for final approval.

🗓️ PTCL has already completed the acquisition of Telenor Pakistan and Orion Towers on Dec 31, 2025. During the transition period, Telenor will continue operating as a separate entity, followed by integration once regulatory approvals are granted.

👥 What does this mean for existing Ufone & Telenor users?
✅ Short term (now → next few months)

📱 Your SIM, number, packages, and services remain unchanged.
No sudden shutdowns are expected—telecom mergers are rolled out in phases to avoid nationwide disruption.

🔄 Medium term (post-approvals)

Gradual technical changes will begin, including:
🏗️ Tower and site optimization
📶 Frequency and spectrum re-tuning
🧠 Core network integration
🚀 Expanded 4G / 4G+ coverage in areas where either network was previously weak

⚠️ Some localities may experience temporary performance dips during tuning (handover adjustments, congestion rebalancing). This is a normal part of large-scale network integration.

📡 The REAL story: Spectrum (LTE bands) — why it matters

Because spectrum = coverage + capacity.

🔵 Telenor Pakistan (key spectrum holdings)

According to Telenor Group’s official spectrum disclosures, Telenor Pakistan holds:
📌 850 MHz (Band 5): 2×10 MHz ✅ (excellent indoor & wide-area coverage)
📌 1800 MHz (Band 3): 2×8.8 MHz ✅ (primary 4G capacity band)
📌 2100 MHz (Band 1): 2×5 MHz ✅ (additional capacity layer)
📌 900 MHz: 2×4.8 MHz (legacy / coverage layer depending on region)

Widely reported and well known: Telenor’s paired 10 MHz at 850 MHz is a major low-band advantage.

🟢 Ufone (PTML) key spectrum strengths

📌 Ufone’s 2021 NGMS auction win expanded its 1800 MHz holdings to 15 MHz (reported by Reuters).
📌 Ufone also secured 5 MHz in the 2100 MHz band during the 2014 NGMS auction.

🧠 What does the merger enable from a technical perspective?
1️⃣ 📶 Spectrum “Rationalization” (making blocks contiguous)

Pakistan has already carried out 1800 MHz rationalization to improve contiguity, and current policy direction strongly favors contiguous spectrum in 1800 / 2100 MHz after auctions.

➡️ Contiguous spectrum = wider carriers = higher efficiency & better performance

2️⃣ 🚀 More 4G+ (Carrier Aggregation)

A merged network can intelligently combine bands such as:
✅ 850 + 1800 CA → coverage + speed
✅ 1800 + 2100 CA → capacity boost
✅ Improved load balancing between low-band and mid-band layers

📲 Will 4G / 4G+ speeds go up or down?
✅ Why speeds can improve

🔥 Larger combined spectrum pool
🏙️ Better capacity in busy urban hotspots
🏠 Stronger indoor signal quality (thanks to 850 MHz)
🚀 More carrier aggregation (4G+) opportunities

⚠️ Why speeds may temporarily dip (in some areas)

🔧 Site consolidation and re-tuning can create short-term congestion pockets
📡 Parameter changes may briefly impact handovers

➡️ Overall expectation: with proper PTCL investment, the average user experience should improve, especially indoors and in rural areas.

📌 How important is Telenor’s 850 MHz (Band 5)?

✅ Best suited for:
🏠 Indoor coverage
🛣️ Highways and rural connectivity
📶 Stable signal at cell edges

❌ Not a “peak-speed” band on its own
➡️ The real speed gains appear when 850 MHz is combined with mid-bands (1800/2100) via 4G+ CA.

📡 Does this mean 5G will arrive sooner?

It improves the chances, but timing still depends on spectrum auctions and rollout economics.

PTA’s upcoming auction planning includes new bands such as:
📌 700 / 2300 / 2600 / 3500 MHz (with 3500 MHz being the primary global 5G capacity band)

➡️ A larger merged subscriber base + unified capex significantly strengthens PTCL’s ability to deploy 5G once spectrum is secured.

🎯 Final verdict (quick & simple)

✅ More consistent coverage likely (Telenor’s 850 MHz is a big win)
✅ Stronger 4G+ potential (carrier aggregation + rationalization)
⚠️ Temporary instability possible during integration
❓ 5G timing depends on auction results (especially 3500 MHz) and investment strategy

🚨📡 BIG TELECOM UPDATE (Pakistan): Ufone + Telenor Pakistan are moving toward a MERGER under PTCL! 🇵🇰
Here’s what it actually means for your SIM, signals, 4G/4G+ speeds, and 5G timeline 👇

✅ What happened?

📌 PTCL (Ufone’s parent) has filed an application with PTA to merge Telenor Pakistan into Ufone (PTML).
PTA will review network assets, towers, business plan, and—most importantly—licences + spectrum consolidation. After PTA, it typically goes to SECP and then a court-approved Scheme of Arrangement to finalize.

🗓️ PTCL already completed acquisition of Telenor Pakistan & Orion Towers on Dec 31, 2025, and said Telenor will operate as a separate entity during transition, then integrate subject to approvals.

👥 What happens to existing Telenor & Ufone users?
✅ Short term (now → next few months)

📱 Your SIM, number, packages should continue normally.
No overnight shutdown expected—mergers in telecom are staged to avoid nationwide outages.

🔄 Medium term (after approvals)

Expect gradual changes like:
🏗️ Tower/site optimization
📶 Frequency re-tuning
🧠 Core network integration
🚀 More areas getting 4G/4G+ where one side was weak

⚠️ Some neighborhoods may temporarily feel worse during re-tunes (handover tuning, congestion shifts). That’s normal during integration.

📡 The REAL story: Spectrum (LTE bands) & why it matters

Because spectrum = capacity + coverage.

🔵 Telenor Pakistan (major holdings)

From Telenor Group’s official spectrum table, Telenor Pakistan holds:
📌 850 MHz (Band 5): 2×10 MHz ✅ (amazing coverage/indoors)
📌 1800 MHz (Band 3): 2×8.8 MHz ✅ (main 4G capacity band)
📌 2100 MHz (Band 1): 2×5 MHz ✅ (extra capacity layer)
📌 900 MHz: 2×4.8 MHz (legacy/coverage layer depending on deployment)

Also widely reported: Telenor’s 850 MHz licence is 10 MHz paired, a huge low-band advantage.

🟢 Ufone (PTML) key capacity milestone

📌 Ufone’s 2021 NGMS win took its 1800 MHz holdings up to 15 MHz, reported by Reuters.
📌 Ufone also won 5 MHz in 2100 in the 2014 NGMS cycle.

🧠 What does “merger” enable technically?
1) 📶 “Rationalization” (making spectrum blocks contiguous)

Pakistan has already done rationalization in 1800 MHz for contiguity, and current policy direction emphasizes contiguity in 1800/2100 after auctions.

➡️ Contiguous spectrum = more efficient carriers = better network performance.

2) 🚀 More 4G+ (Carrier Aggregation)

A merged operator can combine bands like:
✅ 850 + 1800 CA (coverage + speed)
✅ 1800 + 2100 CA (capacity boost)
✅ Better load balancing between layers

📲 Will 4G / 4G+ speeds increase or decrease?
✅ Why speeds can improve

🔥 More total spectrum under one operator
🏙️ Better hotspot capacity
🏠 Better indoor stability (thanks to 850)
🚀 More carrier aggregation (4G+) possibilities

⚠️ Why speeds can temporarily drop (in some areas)

🔧 Site consolidation or re-tuning can create short-term pockets of congestion
📡 Parameter changes can temporarily affect handovers

➡️ Net expectation: if PTCL invests properly, average experience should improve, especially indoor + rural consistency.

📌 How useful is Telenor’s 850 MHz (Band 5)?

✅ BEST for:
🏠 Indoor coverage
🛣️ Highways / rural coverage
📶 Stable signal at cell-edge

❌ NOT a “peak speed magic band” alone
➡️ The big speed win comes when 850 is combined with mid-band (1800/2100) via 4G+ CA.

📡 Does this make 5G sooner?

It helps, but it depends on spectrum auction + rollout economics.

PTA’s current auction planning/reporting includes new bands like:
📌 700 / 2300 / 2600 / 3500 MHz (3500 is the key 5G capacity band)

➡️ Bigger merged customer base + unified capex = stronger chance PTCL can deploy 5G when spectrum is acquired.

🎯 Final verdict (simple)

✅ Coverage consistency likely improves (Telenor 850 advantage is huge)
✅ 4G+ potential increases (more CA + rationalization)
⚠️ Some areas may see temporary instability during integration
❓ 5G depends on auction outcomes (especially 3500 MHz) and investment pace
