What an incredible evening at the AO Arena celebrating the life, legacy and impact of Manchester’s own, Ricky Hatton.

We were proud to deliver the full technical production for such a special occasion - an unforgettable night that brought together family, friends, sporting legends, entertainers and thousands of fans, all united for an amazing cause.

From powerful live performances and emotional tributes inside a packed arena, every detail reflected the love and admiration people have for Ricky and the work of the Ricky Hatton Foundation.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the event such a success, especially Road 3, Legends Soccer Group and our Sterling team for the collaboration and trust throughout.

A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of assisting our client Jenna Keller Events in transforming Merrydale Manor for Together Money’s annual Spring Celebration, following on from the huge success of last year’s event.

Providing full technical production for the evening, we delivered immersive audio, lighting, bespoke scenic elements, and visual production to help bring the roaring twenties theme to life.

The Gatsby Band kept guests entertained throughout the evening, alongside dancers and surprise performances from Anton Du Beke, creating an unforgettable atmosphere from start to finish.

Using Matter, we’re proud to recognise the people who go above and beyond to make a real difference across our team. This month, we’re recognising Davina Naylor, Venue Technician, for receiving the highest number of kudos in April👏

A huge part of what makes Davina stand out is her reliability, positive attitude, and dedication to supporting those around her. She plays an important role in keeping things running smoothly and is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. We truly appreciate everything she brings to the team.

Another busy weekend, supporting JD Sports x MADE Running as part of Nike Performance’s We Run This City campaign at Westfield Stratford. 🏃‍♀️

Runners set off around Stratford before returning in-store, where the space shifted into a high-energy post-run event with food, drinks and a live DJ set - bringing together performance, community and culture.

Sterling provided onsite technical support, delivering audio and comms to help power another seamless activation for our client.

As the Mental Health Awareness Week draws to a close, we’re proud to reaffirm our commitment to supporting wellbeing across our team.

We know that mental health is part of everyday life, both in and outside of work, and creating an environment where people feel supported and listened to, remains central to our culture. Throughout the week, we provided dedicated mindfulness spaces for colleagues to step away from their day, take a moment, and recharge whenever they needed it.

We’ve also recently refreshed and expanded our Mental Health First Aider training, strengthening the support available across the business. Alongside this, we’ve continued to build on our Sterling Together resource that provides touchpoints to ensure colleagues have access to help, guidance, and a safe space to talk whenever they need it.

Thank you to everyone who visited us over the last two days at PLASA at the Royal Armouries, Leeds. It was fantastic to reconnect with industry colleagues and meet so many new faces across the live events sector.

We were proud to see our QSHE Manager Michael Mclaughlin join the panel discussion on Sustainability in Entertainment Technology, sharing insight into the future of responsible event production.

Our Head of Technicians Ste Brocklehurst also took part in the speed networking sessions delivered in collaboration with PLASA, The Power of Events, Production Futures, and Access Industry - helping connect students, freelancers, and emerging professionals with experts from across lighting, audio, AV, rigging, and staging.

Alongside the conversations and networking, our team enjoyed exploring the latest innovations and technology shaping the future of live events.
