Kinda wraps up our first year of sales at XDevPro, with mostly highs and only the odd issue, which we always get fixed.

Website payment system will go offline around midnight till October 5th (approx) and anything beforehand will be posted.

Year 2 will be bigger and better, as we broaden into more 3D printed parts, motherboards, more jewels and LED packs.

Also just ordered parts for 50 kits of both the Samsung B & F DVD drive capacitors. Already have all the resistor arrays, so those will go live in October.

Somehow I was getting no picture and an X3 chip swap corrected it. Will need to look into that, cos LCD screen was coming up the lot. Strange one

As there was no customs fees, these are back to the original import price.

We have also started adding a Warranty sticker to the casing, to identify any we have supplied.

Each batch will be handled in this manner, due to recent events.

Used hard drives are now so expensive, I'm considering offering an option for new Seagate Ironwolf Pro 4TB CMR drives for our TPXG4 build.

Whilst I do check all smart info on every drive I sell, for an extra £50 you could get a brand new NAS drive with zero hours (others may have 70000hrs or so)

CMR hard drives (128mb or above) are especially useful for Cerbios based (compressed game files) such as ours and I've ran many tests to prove this.

One of the best older drives was the HGST 128mb CMR from 2015 before WD swallowed up the company.

Unfortunately, the Barracuda drives rely on the cheaper SMR storage type so their performance does not match CMR drives, especially on Xbox with Cerbios.

considering the prices on both from Seagate are virtually identical, this certainly does now raise the question, with used drives costing so much.

Would you prefer to pay £50 more for a brand new Ironwolf Pro HDD with warranty? or rather keep it as cheap as possible?

Absolutely no idea how they will look IRL but hopefully will suit the shell when completed.
