Today is Mark Evans' 12-year Apadmiversary! As a true Apadmi veteran, Mark took a trip down memory lane to tell us about his experiences with Apadmi through the years. Here's what he said:
"12 years, blimey! Where did the time go?
Things have certainly changed a lot since my first day with Apadmi and I've watched with a certain sense of pride as the business has grown and diversified.
We’ve gone from a small team of mobile developers with one QA employee and little ol’ me as the only server dev, to a full-on digital agency with our own UX and UI, Marketing, Product Owners, and everything in between.
The projects I’ve worked on have touched nearly every business sector there is, from finance to marketing, healthcare to telecommunications, sports, and entertainment to utilities, each with their own unique requirements and challenges. As a result, the work I've done and the companies I've worked with during my time at Apadmi has certainly been varied. My personal favourites have always been the ones that make a real difference to people’s lives, not necessarily the 'flashy' ones that we are better known for, but things like Alere Data point and the work we did for NHS Blood and Transplant. There is always something new around the corner, new people to meet, new challenges and obstacles to overcome and I think it’s fair to say that things are never dull at Apadmi!
It's not all work either, we've had some cracking parties and work nights out. There's Crossfit, five-a-side football, movie nights, games nights, and an awesome summer BBQ with a 140ft inflatable obstacle course, bucking bronco, and a live band - we definitely know how to have fun!
If I had to give one thing as the biggest takeaway from the last 12 years, it would be that it’s not the work you do that makes a job enjoyable, it’s the people you work with, and the team... no - family we have at Apadmi’ that really are the best."
