The engineering problem changes as the product grows.

1M+ downloads changes the engineering question from “can we launch?” to “how do we keep improving without breaking what already works?”

Holiday Swap is a travel platform that lets users book, host or swap homes, and is one of Tiksom’s portfolio products with 1M+ downloads.

Tiksom joined an existing product rather than starting from a blank codebase. The work required understanding the current architecture and adding new functionality in a way that respected the existing experience.

That is a common scale-up challenge: the product has momentum, users and history. Improvements still need to move quickly, but changes must be made with much more awareness of what is already working.

Scale changes the job. Product engineering has to change with it.

1M+ downloads is a useful reminder: product engineering does not stop at the first release.

Sport Clips is one of the products in Tiksom’s portfolio with 1M+ downloads.

Our work was on an existing appointment management app, where the challenge was to extend a live product without disrupting its core experience. The project included a SiriKit voice-recognition module that could help users find salons and support appointment booking through voice commands.

The broader lesson matters beyond one feature: successful products keep evolving. New behaviour, platform capabilities and customer expectations create new engineering work long after launch.

That is why we think about product development as a continuing journey, not a one-off build.

Strong delivery is usually visible in the small team habits nobody sees in the final product.

A good product is rarely the result of one brilliant individual. It comes from people asking better questions together.

Product, design, engineering and delivery teams need enough trust to challenge assumptions early, surface risks quickly and make decisions without unnecessary hand-offs.

That is what team meetings, engineering discussions and even informal time together help build: communication that makes delivery easier when the work gets difficult.
