Boomerang incoming! 🪃

After an initial 7-year stint at LIMA, Adam Harwood went away for a couple of years to try something new.

But, like a curved Aussie stick on a sunny beach in August, he came back, and we're delighted to see him!

Adam brings a huge amount of IT experience and know-how to his role of Account Director, with a background spanning technical support and sales roles, and a strong underpinning in cybersecurity.

When he's not supporting customers with IT challenges, you'll find him cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or planning his next getaway to some exotic location.

New case study!

Miller's Vanguard provides maintenance services to the bakery and catering industry.

The business serves blue-chip clients across the supermarket and coffee house sectors and has built its reputation over 30 years with a focus on delivering a first-time fix for customers.

Customers lose revenue when equipment isn't working at 100%, so for Miller's Vanguard's field engineers, system downtime simply isn't an option.

Information Systems Manager Dean Rooney manages the IT team, supporting over 400 employees. LIMA has been the trusted MSP for the business for over ten years, providing third-line infrastructure support.

We're celebrating our wonderful Jane Murrell's decade at LIMA.

What would we do without Jane?

Her colleagues describe her as a pleasure to work with, and always a friendly face and helping hand whenever its needed.

In her role as Office Manager, Jane wears many hats to keep everything running smoothly at LIMA. From ensuring our office is safe, secure and well-maintained, to organising team travel and social events, supporting HR and deal registration, Jane is at the heart of our day-to-day operations.

And, perhaps most importantly, she keeps us all fuelled by making sure our swanky new coffee machine is always stocked and ready to go!

Our favourite day of the year has come around again!

The LIMA summer get together is back, and after a brilliant sports day last year, we knew we had to do it all again 🏅The team swapped their desks for athletics and embraced some friendly competition with a range of events that wouldn’t look out of place at a primary school sports day…

A huge congratulations to the Blue Team, who claimed this years top spot 🎉🏆

Before the games began, we spent the morning reflecting on everything we have achieved so far this year, celebrating our successes and looking ahead to an exciting second half of the year!

Days like these are a great reminder of how important it is to bring everyone together. Taking time to strengthen relationships, celebrate achievements and simply have some fun.

Today's new starter alert is a big one, as we welcome Dawn Curtis to the new role of Head of Operations.

The Head of Ops role at LIMA is all about process improvement and automation, data-driven decision making, compliance and developing a high-performing team.

Seems Dawn is a great fit, then, with 14 years’ experience in ISP/MSP environments focused on process improvement, service delivery, supplier management and operational change.

Dawn combines the analytical and the creative to improve complex processes and add value for customers, colleagues and the business.

Away from the process map, she's most at home baking cakes and playing netball and padel (badly). Her two girls keep her busy, and her German Shepherd Nellie is far too laid back to be the sort of guard dog she was hoping for.

When she was at school, Dawn once made lunch for King (then Prince) Charles. High pressure for sure, but sounds like a great grounding for a leadership role in an MSP!

We're excited to bring a new face to our ever-growing roster of tech talent!

Welcome to Femi Fatayo, who joins LIMA as a 2nd Line Infrastructure Engineer.

Femi brings extensive hands-on experience with hardware, network topology, routing protocols, virtualisation, storage, cloud (AWS/Azure), Windows Server and email systems.

After 11 years with a 24/7 managed services firm as an IT Systems and Network Engineer, Femi recently worked for a housing association as an infrastructure specialist overseeing on-prem and cloud servers, network connectivity, M365 and Azure services, as well as backup and DR.

Femi's a man who enjoys solving technical problems and being a reliable point of contact for customers.

Outside of work, he enjoys mentoring people, walking and playing table tennis. Femi's also a Manchester United fan, and with Old Trafford just a stone's throw from LIMA HQ, he'll fit right in!

Fun and games today at LIMA HQ as we welcomed our cybersecurity partners CYSIAM for a calling day.

The focus for today is talking to customers about retaining a strong cyber-defence strategy while embracing opportunities for innovation. Every company needs to embrace new digital services to stay competitive, but a broader digital footprint can also mean a broader attack surface.

Between LIMA and CYSIAM we're helping customers to balance the two.

And no LIMA calling day would be complete without some friendly competition and some great prizes. The Lego proved particularly popular!
