When candidates are asked about their frustrations with recruiters, they often cite ghosting.
Recruiters, on the other hand, recognise the challenges of managing a high volume of applications.
As a minimum expectation, recruiters stress the importance of providing feedback to individuals they have engaged with and sending email responses to those whose applications they haven't had a chance to review.
Even in cases where feedback from the client is pending, they emphasise the significance of notifying the candidate about the delay and that, at times, delivering the news that there is no news can be just as essential.
