Got a reply last week from a prospect who said it was the only cold email he had responded to in six months.
The email seemed ordinary at first. Just three things done right.
- Real research before writing a single word, by understanding his role, his company, and the specific priorities and challenges on his plate right now.
- An opening line about him, not us, that was relevant enough to show this wasn't another mass email.
- A small genuine ask. Not a demo or a lengthy call. Just a question about whether the challenge resonated.
That was it.
No automation. No templates. Just genuine attention to who was on the other end.
Most people know personalisation works. Very few are willing to do the work it actually requires.
What has changed most about your cold email approach recently? Would love to hear below.
