Why do people stop using their AAC device?

In 2024, we set out to better understand this question through dedicated research. We spoke to AAC users, families, and professionals about their experiences of device abandonment - uncovering the challenges they face and the impact on long-term success.

Two years on, we’re revisiting those findings to spotlight the key learnings - and, importantly, the actions we’ve taken since. By embedding these insights into our strategy, we’re working to remove barriers and drive better outcomes for AAC users.
