MHUB uOS change:

From June 2026, all new MHUB and MZMA devices will ship with uOS Core - a streamlined, rock solid OS focused entirely on flawless video switching and cloud connectivity. Integrators using third-party control systems will notice an immediate benefit: the time-consuming first boot setup steps are gone.

If your MHUB is currently running uOS 11.08, it will receive one final update to uOS 11.09. After that, MHUB and MZMA devices will only receive small stability and security patches. No new features will be added.

The full uControl feature set - sequences, scenes, automations, and third-party integrations - now lives exclusively in uOS Studio, running on the uControl Processor. If you purchased your MHUB before June 2026, your existing uOS features remain intact. For everything beyond that, a uControl Processor is required.

For new installations, we’ll be offering discounted uControl Processors when purchased alongside an MHUB or MHUB stack - making it straightforward to spec a complete system from day one.

To say we don’t design chargers isn’t strictly true.

When you buy a uControl remote from HDA Systems it does come with a USB charger.

But we want our products to fit seamlessly into your home no matter the style.

That is why we designed the remote for wireless charging - to mirror how your remote is actually used.

Your remote lives predominantly on the armrest of your sofa, so why can’t it charge there as well?

If you are looking for an even more discreet way of charging you can have it integrated for invisible charging.

Ultimately we wanted to give you the choice.

On our website you won’t find a link to HDA chargers but wireless chargers approved by us and manufactured by someone else.

Make sure you purchase one from the approved list when you buy your uControl remote.

Recently we were checking to see what our first ever Instagram post was, all the way back in 2017.

This scroll down memory lane reminded us of all the iconic moments that were captured and posted on here over the past 9 years.

Starting off with the first ever post in 2017 - MHUB in the rack. Even after 12,000+ MHBUBs sold we still get a kick of seeing them in your photos. Never stop sending us these!

We of course had to include the day we received the patent for our ‘Audio-video distribution system’. The moment Dillan Pattni officially became an inventor!

From moving into our new offices in 2019 (which is still HDA Systems HQ) to prepping for the keynote speech at , to the 2026 collaboration we never saw coming. These photos have captured (almost) everything.

Only true HDA fans will recognise these sketches…

Who remembers in 2021 when we spent all of our time sketching buttons. But we got there in the end.

You have now seen every prototype we ever made when designing the uControl Remote.

But the prototypes are quite a small part of the design process. The majority of it is done in drawings and renderings.

Although the design process is never truly finished in the world of tech. The remote is still being improved!

The uControl remote is now available from the HDA store and now includes a version that can be used with which is currently being beta tested].
