Thursday thought đĄ
How did we get to work never actually ending?
Let me explain...
Maybe I'm showing my age, but years ago when you left the office that was it until the next day.
Now work sort of just follows us around.
A quick Teams message at 8pm.
Replying to emails while watching TV.
Checking one thing on your phone.
âJust quicklyâ looking at tomorrowâs calendar.
Modern work has become a constant low-level background process.
And what's weird is we barely notice weâre doing it anymore.
Tbh I don't think technology created the problem entirely.
I think it just made it easier for businesses to slowly remove the natural stopping points people used to have.
What do you think, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts?
