...LONG POST ALERT...
Many of you will know by now that Suzy's Cafe has been sold to one of my staff members.
My last official day of trading will be this Friday, July 17th.
Ann Cant is taking over the Cafe and it couldn't be in better hands. Ann has years of experience in the hospitality industry . She joined me last October after working for the Crusty Cob in Lydiate for nine years. She will continue the warm environment we have created over the years while bringing some new and exciting menu changes and upgrades.
Let's all support Ann in this endeavour. She is very excited for what is ahead and she can't wait to get dug in. She is also keeping the existing staff so you will still continue to see the lovely staff that you have known for along time now.
As sad as this for me, I know I'm leaving the cafe in good hands and I wish Ann the best of luck and every success. She will smash it!!
I would like to thank all of my lovely customers who have supported me over the years. Some of you have been with me since day one and you have become a big part of my life . I consider you my friends and I'll miss that the most. I remember all of the people that we have lost to illness over the years as well and still miss and think of them to this day.
I would like to thank all of my staff who have helped and contributed to the environment we have created at Suzy's. Warm, friendly with nothing being too much trouble.
Thank you Gill, Ann, Karen ,Sally Ann and Dan and Kerry and staff before who all played a part in our success.
Good staff is hard to find and I had the best and I thank them for all of their hard work over the years in a challenging environment. Thank you for taking such good care of our customers.
I would also like to thank my parents for their unwavering support over the years.
Especially my Mum. She worked in the cafe for several years giving me Mondays off and was always there to help out often going to suppliers to pick up stock , she's 80 !!!
Time for me to spend more time with family now which has been difficult to do with the demands of the cafe so I'm looking forward to that and being there for my parents.
Thank you again for your custom and friendship . I plan on stopping in the cafe from time to time so will see you there. If not, see you on the deli counter at Morrisons!!. Yes, I'll be working part time at Morrisons.
