We are noticing something strange with iOS 27 - We recommend not updating just yet.

The issue - when updating slightly older models (iPhone 14/15 etc) either over WiFi or via a PC the update will crash when the status bar is full.

On PC it will show as successful but the device never moves from the full status bar to restart.

On WiFi via the phone it will download but hangs on the install now button and doesn’t restart the device to install the update.

Good news is, currently the latest version of iOS 26 is still signed and devices that are stuck in recovery can be reverted back to that version… for now.

As is the usual story literally every single year, wait until Apple fix their bugs for at least a few weeks and then update.
