Today, we’re celebrating World Art Day! As part of our personal development time members of the team swapped our desks for gallery floors and client briefs for brushstrokes as they headed out to explore museums and galleries all over the UK.
We know we’re a creative bunch here at LOVELIVE, but inspiration doesn’t just happen at a screen. It’s sparked by colour, shaped by perspective and often found in the stories behind someone else’s work.
Morgan enjoyed an afternoon at Macclesfield Silk Museum discovering local artifacts, Matt took in the drawings and paintings of LS Lowry at the Lowry Gallery in Salford, and Issac visited the ‘The Mystery of Banksy’ exhibition in Manchester. While not too far away, Jordan took time out to go along to Cosgrove Hall Films Archive exhibition in Sale Library where he saw original sets, puppets and drawings from Wind in the Willows, Danger mouse, Bill and Ben, and Postman Pat… all the classics!
Sophie took in the artwork at Nantwich Museum, with displays from abstract artists including John Clayton, while Katie visited London and the independent modern and contemporary Moco Museum, where she too saw works from Banksy as well as a Digital and Immersive exhibition.
Days like this remind us that great ideas come from everywhere! Here’s to curiosity, inspiration and keeping creativity alive.
