Professional services businesses sell expertise 🧠

Which means long before someone speaks to you, they’re already forming an opinion.

Your website. Your people. Your content. Your credentials. How clearly you explain what you do. It all helps someone decide whether they trust you enough to take the next step.

That’s why brand in professional services is about much more than a logo, and why a website can’t just be an online brochure.

We’ve worked with professional services businesses for MANY years, helping 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 and 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 too.

Sometimes the challenge is visibility. Sometimes it’s differentiation. And, sometimes the business has simply moved on whilst the brand hasn’t.

If that sounds familiar, let’s talk.

B2B2C. Because apparently B2B and B2C weren’t enough acronyms for us to remember...! 😜

Behind the slightly clunky bit of marketing terminology is something lots of manufacturers will recognise: '𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀-𝘁𝗼-𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀-𝘁𝗼-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿'. In simple terms, you sell through a distributor, dealer, installer, retailer or other partner, who then sells to the end customer.

What makes that interesting from a brand + digital perspective is that, while you might not own that final transaction, you can still have a huge influence over everything that happens before it.

The customer may discover your brand first, visit your website, research your product, see your campaign or submit an enquiry to you before being passed on to one of your partners to actually buy.

So although the commercial model might be B2B, thinking about the end customer still matters 🛒 Your brand needs to work for both audiences, your website needs to answer the right questions, leads need to reach the right partners, and ideally you don’t lose visibility the second an enquiry leaves your hands.

𝗪𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿-𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱.

B2B2C might be another buzzword, but the challenge behind it definitely isn’t.

Retail has changed a lot over the last decade. But making it easy for someone to choose you still matters 🛒

The difference now is how many touchpoints sit between first noticing a brand and actually buying from it.

A customer might see an ad, check Instagram, visit your website, read reviews, come into a showroom, then go back online before making a decision.

If those experiences don’t join up, people notice 👀

We’ve helped retail and consumer-facing businesses connect brand, campaigns, websites, eCommerce and the wider customer experience so everything feels like part of the same journey.

Often, the opportunity isn’t adding another channel. It’s making the ones you already have work harder together.

If your customer journey feels more complicated than it should, let’s talk.

1️⃣9️⃣ years in business.

Clients we’ve worked with for 15+ of them. And many multiples of brands, websites, campaigns and digital platforms that we've worked with over that time.

We’ve designed brands from scratch, helped established businesses evolve, built software that handles hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of orders each month, created campaigns, packaging, websites, booking systems, configurators and plenty more besides.

Our showreel brings a snapshot of all that together 🎥

Different sectors. Different challenges. Different-sized projects. But the same Blumin approach of bringing brand, design and technology together to create something that works commercially as well as creatively.

Something interesting is happening in UK manufacturing 👀

Technology is moving firmly up the agenda. And, according to Make UK 65% of manufacturers are planning major investment in digitalisation and AI.

But it isn’t only what’s happening inside the factory that’s changing.

Make UK and PwC’s latest Executive Survey also points to marketing and customer engagement moving up the investment agenda, while 55% of manufacturers say expanding products and services in response to customer needs is their biggest opportunity in 2026.

[read more here: https://www.pwc.co.uk/industries/manufacturing/insights/make-uk-executive-survey.html]

And we think those two things belong in the same conversation 💬

If you’re investing in smarter systems, automation, AI, new products and new markets, the way you position, market and sell the business needs to keep pace too.

For B2B manufacturers, that could mean a clearer proposition. A website that actually supports the sales journey. Better tools for distributors. Smarter content. More joined-up customer data. Or simply making a complex offer much easier to understand.

Digital transformation isn’t only about how efficiently you manufacture something.

It’s also about how effectively you take it to market.

When we talk about skills shortages in manufacturing, it’s easy to think purely about engineering and production 🛠️

But the skills manufacturers need are changing too.

Skills England's latest Advanced Manufacturing assessment found that digital literacy is now notably more important in manufacturing priority roles than it is across the UK workforce generally.

[Read more here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skills-england-annual-skills-report-and-sectoral-skills-needs-assessments-2026/sector-skills-needs-assessment-advanced-manufacturing]

And between growth and people leaving the workforce, it estimates around 148,000 people will be needed across priority advanced manufacturing occupations by 2035.

AI is part of that shift (no surprise there). But so are connected systems, automation, data, digital tools and increasingly hybrid roles that sit somewhere between operations and technology.

There’s a useful lesson in there for digital transformation too.

The best system in the world won’t transform much if it’s difficult to use, doesn’t reflect the way people actually work or creates another layer of complexity.

Simply put, technology has to work for the people using it 👫

That’s why our digital projects tend to start with the process, the users and the commercial problem, rather than the software.

If you’re a manufacturer looking at how digital could make your business work better, we’ve got plenty of experience on both sides of that conversation.

Let’s talk: https://www.blumin.co.uk/get-in-touch

Over the years, we’ve worked with businesses across all sorts of sectors. But one that definitely feeds our wanderlust is travel and tourism. 🌍

From tour operators and travel brands to destinations and specialist holiday businesses, we’ve helped clients get noticed, inspire their audiences and make it easier for people to take that next step and book.

And, as you’d expect from Blumin, that work can span both brand + digital.

Our services over the years have included:

🎨 Outdoor advertising & print campaigns: creative campaigns designed to catch attention and get people thinking about where they could go next.

📖 Brochures & pitch decks: beautifully designed, useful materials that bring destinations, experiences and itineraries to life.

🖥️Booking systems & digital solutions: websites and digital platforms that make discovering, planning and booking a trip as straightforward as possible.

Sometimes that means a full brand or website project. Sometimes it’s an extra pair of hands for a seasonal campaign, brochure or digital update.

Either way, we’re always very happy when the brief gives us an excuse to spend a little too long looking at holiday destinations...

Nearly 20 years of Blumin means a LOT of work, a lot of clients and quite a few different briefs along the way 🐝

Brands. Websites. Campaigns. Digital platforms. Packaging. Software. Content. And plenty that doesn’t fit neatly into one box.

Our showreel brings just a small slice of that work together in one place and gives a pretty good snapshot of what happens when brand, design and technology all get to play nicely together.

There’s been a lot of conversation about fractional hiring over the last 12 months. 👀

Fractional CMOs, designers, developers and marketers can certainly give businesses access to senior expertise without committing to a full-time hire.

And that makes sense. Most businesses don’t need every skill, every day, at full capacity.

But what’s interesting is that this is effectively the agency model, just framed differently 💭

A full-service agency gives you access to strategy, design, development, marketing and technical expertise, scaled up or down as priorities change.

The difference is that you’re not bringing together a collection of individual fractional roles. You’re accessing a team that already knows how to work together.

The thinking is joined up. The delivery is aligned. And you get the depth of a broader team without the cost and complexity of building it all in-house.

For businesses navigating growth or change, that can be a very effective way to work.

If you’re weighing up different resourcing models, it’s worth a conversation: https://www.blumin.co.uk/get-in-touch

Creating content has never been easier, right?

AI can help you draft it. Templates can help you package it. And there are more places than ever to publish it.

But creating content that actually works? That still takes thought.

Because today, good content has to do quite a lot...

It needs to sound like you. Speak to the right audience. Support your wider marketing goals. Be useful to search engines. And increasingly, be structured in a way that helps your business show up in AI-led search and answer platforms too.

That means understanding how SEO, AEO and GEO fit alongside brand, tone of voice and good old-fashioned human insight.

At Blumin, that might mean helping with:

✔️ Blogs & thought leadership - useful, expert-led content that builds authority.
✔️ Whitepapers & reports - turning knowledge and data into something people actually want to read.
✔️ Sales decks & pitch materials - helping you explain what you do clearly and persuasively.
✔️ Event collateral - making sure your offline content works just as hard as your digital activity.

Sometimes we shape the strategy. Sometimes we write it. Sometimes we design it. Often, it’s all three.

Because the challenge now isn’t simply creating more content. It’s making sure the content you create is recognisably yours, genuinely useful and easy to find.
