When people hear "AI for business", they often imagine sitting talking to ChatGPT.

That's only one tiny part of it.

AI can help sort enquiries, extract information from documents, categorise data, draft repetitive content, summarise information and automate boring admin.

The interesting question isn't:

"How can I use AI?"

It's:

"What do I repeatedly waste time doing?"

Start there.

A ridiculously small SEO tip:

Before uploading an image to your website, give the file a useful name.

Instead of:

IMG_4728.jpg

Try:

wedding-cupcakes-louth.jpg

It gives search engines a little more information about what the image is.

Will it magically put you at number one on Google?

No.

Is it one of lots of small, sensible things worth doing properly?

Absolutely.

Sometimes you do.

But quite often what a small business actually needs is a good website that does one useful thing really well.

Bookings.
Quotes.
Customer forms.
Member areas.
Calculators.
Directories.
Order requests.

Don't build expensive technology just because it sounds impressive.

Build the simplest thing that solves the problem.

The tiny website test.
Try this on your own website today:

Open it on your phone using mobile data rather than Wi-Fi.

That's much closer to how a potential customer might actually experience it.

Does it load quickly?
Can you read everything?
Are the buttons easy to press?
Is there an annoying pop-up covering half the screen?

We spend so much time looking at our own websites on the same devices that it's surprisingly easy to miss problems.

One of the things I’ve been working on recently is a custom online quiz platform.

It’s a good example of the kind of work SEONEUD can take on beyond a standard business website.

The system includes live games, player join codes, real-time scoring, leaderboards, a large question database and the logic needed to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Today’s little win: helping someone speed up a laptop that had become painfully slow.

A few checks, some unnecessary clutter cleared out, startup tidied up and a couple of settings adjusted — and it was already running much better.

One of the most common website problems I see is a site that looks fine on a computer but falls apart on a phone.

Text too small, buttons in awkward places, menus not working properly, or sections pushed out of place.

It’s usually fixable without rebuilding the whole website.

If your site is doing something strange on mobile, it’s worth checking it properly rather than just putting up with it.
