Happy 30th anniversary, Deutsche Telekom

Once again, we would like to express our deep appreciation to Tim Höttges, CEO of Deutsche Telekom, and his amazing team for giving OpenBinacle the wings to fly. We appreciate your team for giving us the attention when we presented our bold and ambitious vision and mission for the continent of Africa. You could have shut the door on us; rather, you provided us with powerful infrastructures to scale up.

Today, OpenBinacle Group is growing so strong and expanding to several countries in Africa, and we are so grateful for your strong shoulders.

Happy 30th anniversary once again.

A wonderful and happy New Year 2025 to everyone.

The OpenBinacle Group team is excited and wants to use this opportunity to congratulate Professor Edoba Bright Omoregie (SAN) on his appointment as the 11th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin (UNIBEN).

Professor Edoba Bright Omoregie was born and raised in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He obtained his first degree in law from the University of Benin and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos State. He attended the same school for his second and third degrees and was called to the bar in 1992. In 2021, he was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN. Edoba holds a PhD in Comparative Constitutional Law with a specialization in federalism and governance.

He assumed office on December 3, 2024, as the 11th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin (UNIBEN). The institution and its stakeholders eagerly anticipate a new era of innovation, inclusivity, and academic excellence. Taking over from Professor Lilian Salami, who was known for her resilience and significant progress during her tenure.

Professor Omoregie's leadership indeed comes with high expectations and a strong mandate to elevate UNIBEN further as a center of excellence. The academic community looks forward to a renewed emphasis on research and innovation. This will not only enhance UNIBEN's research capacity but also position the university as a hub for groundbreaking scientific discoveries and solutions to societal problems.

We deeply appreciate the new Vice-Chancellor for appointing a powerful committee (team of Professors, researchers, and scientists) to work with OpenBinacle in implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between both parties. It's worth noting that Professor Lilian Salami began by signing the MOU agreement between the University of Benin (UNIBEN) and OpenBinacle Group.

The University's management has firsthand experience with the OpenBinacle stack of technologies, and they already see the potential and significant impact it would have on the lives of over 60,000 admitted students, millions of young people between the ages of 15-24, and unemployed youths in Edo State and other 35 states in Nigeria and the diaspora.

OpenBinacle Group has built revolutionary technologies such as OpenBinacle® Translate ("OBTranslate"), OpenBinacle® Meet ("OBMeet"), OpenBinacle® Cloud ("OBCloud"), OpenBinacle® Workplace, OpenBinacle® Wayback Machine (WM), OpenBinacle® Pay, 3D Hologram, OpenBinacle® AI ChatBot, OpenBinacle® Multistream platforms and satellite software to advance and bridge communication gaps and overcome more than 2000 African language barriers in all 54 African countries and the world at large.

Together, we are investing large amounts of resources in state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure to raise the best minds to become AI researchers, scientists, engineers, mathematicians, physicists, anthropologists, software developers, and linguist practitioners to work with our scientists in making OpenBinacle® artificial intelligence (AI) and communication tools, a powerful force in diverse fields in Africa and the rest of the world.

This movement is one towards the total liberation of the African continent and the realization of the vast potentials of our respective nations through a combined effort across national boundaries to ensure the absolute output of the African benefits the African.

Many thanks to Professor Constantine Yuka and other members of the committee for championing the vision of OpenBinacle Group at the University of Benin (UNIBEN). We deeply appreciate you, Sir.

Congratulations once again, Professor Edoba Bright Omoregie!
May your tenure bring great success to the University of Benin (UNIBEN) and the people of African descent worldwide.

GOOD NEWS!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

We are excited to announce that the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has partnered with OpenBinacle Group to undertake research and development activities in a broad range of areas of artificial intelligence and machine translation to standardize and preserve Nigerian and other Indigenous languages in .

OpenBinacle Group specifically sought to partner with the University of Benin because of its intelligent and strategic leaders who are passionate about Africa's present and future to help save our continent from further exploitation by other continents with the intent of weaponizing African languages against Africans, which could be catastrophic and detrimental to the present growth and future developments on the Continent of Africa.

This will enable the two parties to invest more in research, education, and training of all currently admitted (60,000+) students, millions of young people between the ages of 15-24, and unemployed youths in these courses in Edo State and other 35 states in Nigeria and the diaspora. The objective is to ensure that all students in different faculties of the University acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to become the next generation of AI researchers and scientists.

This is contained in a joint statement issued on Thursday 22nd day of August 2024 by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Lilian Imuetinyan Salami, and the OpenBinacle Group's CEO and Founder, Mr. Emmanuel Gabriel, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

"According to the historical background, the Benin Kingdom, also known as the Edo Kingdom, was established around 1180 AD. Its origins are traced to the Ogiso dynasty, with Igodo as the first Ogiso (king). Over time, the kingdom evolved into a sophisticated and powerful state, marked by its remarkable city planning, advanced metallurgy, and rich artistic traditions.

The Benin Kingdom, one of the most renowned pre-colonial African states, is a symbol of West African heritage and historical prowess. Located in what is now southern Nigeria, the kingdom was an epicenter of culture, power, and innovation, especially at its height from the 13th to the 19th century. Present-day Benin City, the capital of Edo State, is the direct successor of this ancient kingdom, retaining many cultural and historical elements from its illustrious past.

One of the most fascinating aspects of the Benin Kingdom's technological innovation was its early use of street lighting. According to historical accounts, Benin City had a form of street lighting long before the concept was introduced in European cities. The achievements in art, metallurgy, and urban planning, as the technological and architectural feats accomplished by the kingdom strongly suggest the use of sophisticated mathematical principles and required a deep understanding of geometry (an underlying mathematical understanding of symmetry, repetition, and proportion).

"In restoring Africa's dignity and the Benin Kingdom's status as the epicenter of culture, power, and innovation in the present day, the University is therefore excited by this partnership with OpenBinacle and sees it as another opportunity for an impactful contribution towards expanding the frontier of knowledge and leading the fourth (4th) industrial revolution in Africa."

----

We deeply value this partnership with the University of Benin (UNIBEN), under the esteemed leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lilian Salami, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Ray Ozolua, Prof. Catherine Ukpomwan (Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Constantine Yuka (Dean, Faculty of Arts), Prof. Anthony Ewere (Ag. Director, Legal Services), Mr Gabriel Orhion Osadolor (Ag. Bursar) and the entire management team. This collaboration will foster new innovations, patents, knowledge sharing, and a collaborative spirit that will drive both OpenBinacle Group, the University of Benin (UNIBEN), and the academic community toward greater achievements.
