While house prices across the country have stalled, Britain’s prettiest picture-postcard towns have gone the other way. Our research found prices in some of them have shot up in ten years.

Top of the list:
- Fowey, Cornwall (Dawn French lives there and Beyond Paradise is filmed there)
- Hathersage, Peak District (it’s where Pride and Prejudice was filmed)
- Weobley, Herefordshire: (it was in Hamnet)

Around a third of UK estate agents run their business on Alto, so our data shows what’s really happening in local markets.
