Whilst we’re in Melbourne this week for our deployment with Hobsons Bay City Council, we were invited to drop by at Melton City Council and the City of Melbourne.

To showcase some of our recent developments and applications for our AI system within local authorities in Australia and the UK.

The City of Melbourne maintains close to 250 km of some of busiest roads and highly pedestrianised footpaths in Central Melbourne.

We’re excited to see their innovation iniatives in the near future and plans to adopt AI for their asset maintenance efforts.

Introducing our new near real-time compute device and standalone camera setup, deployed for the first time at one of Hobsons Bay City Council’s highway inspection vehicles.

With this, we will be rolling out the capability to gradually introduce this hardware setup for seamless data collection that requires no intervention from highway operatives and improved processing turnaround times to near real-time, essential for carrying out road safety inspections.

We’re excited to be working with the HBCC and rolling this out to local authorities in Australia.

Located in the central-eastern coast of Otago on New Zealand’s South Island, Dunedin City is known for its stunning landscapes and coastline.

The Asset Management and Transport Team at Dunedin City Council, the local authority responsible for maintenance of roads and footpaths within the city, will now pilot the RoadMetrics AI system for capturing road signs and its condition for their entire road network of just over 1,100 km.

In addition, their team will also be trialling our footpath assessment offering for a quarter of footway network, to gain better information on the condition and accessibility of their footpaths.

Special thanks to Simon Smith and Cynthia Wilson for leading this initiative.

We’re excited to have them use our solution for their maintenance efforts.

Located to the inner-west of Melbourne in Victoria, Hobsons Bay City Council is the local authority responsible for the maintenance of close to 450 km of roads within the City of Hobsons Bay.

Following the launch of our real-time processing device and camera hardware at our recent roadshow event in Australia, and after a successful trial, the council, led by their Asset Management Team will now be using the RoadMetrics AI system.

A RoadMetrics enabled compute device and a customised camera will be deployed on one of the council’s inspection vehicles, to receive real-time road and asset (sign) condition data across their entire road network.

We’re excited to have Hobsons Bay City Council use our system for their road maintenance efforts.

Today wraps up our roadshow after a successful demonstration of our new RoadMetrics 2.0 platform and customised data collection hardware to local authorities in and around Brisbane City.

Earlier today, we were out meeting with Redland City Council, located to the east of the city neighbouring Gold Coast.

As one of the first early adopters to trial our our system for an asset capture project, the council, led by Christine Cartwright are now looking to extend this across their network to help drive their asset maintenance and auditing efforts.

We’re excited to see local authorities adopt AI for their road maintenance initiatives across Australia! 🇦🇺

Kicking off our roadshow in Australia in Perth, today we were out at the City of Swan to do a trial data collection run followed by a live demonstration and presentation with attendees from the City of Perth and the City of Gosnells.

Going forward, our system will be out with a fully redesigned RoadMetrics 2.0 web-GIS platform and customised hardware and camera setup for large fleet deployments.

Next up, we’ll be out in Brisbane for the last leg of our roadshow.

Located just north of Auckland and part of New Zealand’s North Island, Whangarei District Council is responsible for managing over 1,100 km of sealed roads within Whangarei.

The council, led by their Roads Maintenance Asset Team, will now be performing a road condition assessment for 300 km of their sealed road network by trialling the RoadMetrics AI system. This is part of an effort to explore innovative techniques to improve efficiency in their road inspection process and build forward works road maintenance programmes.

Special thanks to Tim Ward for leading this initiative.

We’re excited to have them use our solution as the first early adopter in New Zealand! 🇳🇿
