Taboos are created when discomfort, fear or shame forces certain conversations into the shadows.

Grief requires support and open dialogue - and hearing people with a platform speak candidly about their experiences matters 🤍

Never underestimate the power of speaking up 🫂

From a poll of 1,000 dog and cat guardians, only 18% of owners who had made a will had actually included plans for their pets 🐾

If you haven’t made specific provisions for your pets in your will, they will be the responsibility of your executor to place or take into their own care.

Without a will, pets often pass into the care of a shelter.

Just as we prepare for our children’s futures, pets should always be included in any forward planning. It’s the least we can do to ensure their safety and happiness after we’re gone 🐈‍⬛

Many people don’t know that their will could be considered ‘out of date’ if it no longer reflects the life changes that have taken place since it was first written.

Common examples of this could be the existence of new children or grandchildren, changes to relationship status, the acquisition or sale of assets, the existence of a new business, or the death of chosen executors/beneficiaries.

It’s much more common for wills to be considered out-of-date than you might think, thought to be putting around 66% of people at risk of ‘legal limbo’.

The best way to avoid any confusion is to revisit your will every five years to ensure it still reflects your situation 📄

This is your sign to double check yours 👀

The great thing about today is that it presents us all with an opportunity.

Don’t wait until the last moment to tell someone what they mean to you ☁️
