Jargon Translated: What is DNS?

You might have heard the term DNS before, but what does it actually mean?

In simple terms, DNS is like the internet's address book.

One year as a limited company!

Today marks one year of Sanford Systems Design Ltd being officially incorporated and what a year it has been!

What started with an idea to build a business that does things a little differently has grown into something we’re genuinely proud of.

Over the past year, we’ve worked with businesses on everything from websites, SEO and social media to hosting, business email, IT and digital solutions, helping businesses get more from their online presence and technology.

But for us, it’s never just been about ticking a box or making another sale. It’s about getting to know the businesses we work with, understanding what they actually need and finding practical solutions that work for them.

Meet the person behind Sanford Systems

I'm Carl Sanford, Managing Director. I look after the day-to-day running of the business and oversee our website development, SEO, project management, admin and accounts.

I've spent many years in IT support, web design and programming, so I understand how digital systems actually work behind the scenes not just what the sales pitch says they do.

That's really why Sanford Systems exists.

I kept seeing small businesses handing over serious money for marketing and digital services, then getting very little back. No clear explanation of what they were paying for. No results they could point to. Plenty of jargon.

I thought there had to be a more honest, practical way of doing it. So I started one.
