Listening Session - Friday 29th May | 7pm–10pm

Join us for a special listening session celebrating the new Boards of Canada album, Inferno, presented on a full Soulnote reference music system at our North London listening room.

Experience the album as it was meant to be heard - through a high-end hi-fi system and experience exceptional realism, holographic soundstage, and musicality.

In partnership with our friends Kog Audio(UK distributors for Soulnote) and Electronic Sound Magazine, we’ll be playing Inferno in full, alongside a selection of special limited-edition releases from the Electronic Sound back catalogue. We’ll also have exclusive items available on the night.

Tim Lawson from KOG Audio will be joining us to offer expert insight into the Soulnote range and answer any questions during the event.

‘You have taken my listening experience to the next level’

A customer in Cambridge had his dream system installed this week. While not his first system, he has previously owned some great mid-level equipment from reputable manufacturers, but desired to own a system that would provide a truly emotional experience.

A high end system is not simply about resolution, but an added sense of realism, a sound that draws you in and provides an emotional connection to the music you love.

After attending the recent at Whittlebury Park the auditioning process began with the customer in my listening room in north London.

The final components were selected for their individual brilliance, but more importantly the synergy that when combined, produces a level of listening pleasure that is truly magical.

Careful consideration was placed on power and grounding to ensure we could remove unwanted electrical noise to reveal more music, providing a more accurate tone and texture to the voice and instruments.

‘These are the best part of the house!’

A customer in north London was excited to have his SCM50 Active Speakers installed today after refurbishing his home.

The ATC SCM50 speakers are highly regarded for their exceptional accuracy, transparency and with these active versions, immense dynamic range, with a tight, fast and tuneful bass.

‘It’s like a veil has been removed from my speakers’

Today we installed the excellent EXRD rack for a customer in London.

HRS push the boundaries in quality and superior engineering to lower the noise floor in your system.

Electronics are sensitive to vibration and the design of HRS racks reduce vibration and improves sound quality.

The rack is modular, allowing you to expand your frame as your system grows.

The customer commented ‘I wish I had done this 10 years ago!’

‘This system makes the musicians play better!’

A great start to the week for this customer who we’ve been working with for several years.

Today upgrade was a significant one.

We installed the SCM40 speakers, one of my favourite speakers under £5,000, fast articulate bass with incredible midrange detail and a smooth top end.

We paired the SCM40 speakers with the 3510 Mono Power Amplifiers which delivers the music with an accuracy and power that is rarely achieved from a product so competitively priced.

Finally the Turntable is the classic LP12, with the brilliant Lyra Delos Moving Coil Cartridge providing a sense of realism and excitement to the music.

The customer was complimentary about the particular brands he auditioned in our listening room, as he was new to ATC, Exposure and Lyra.

“Who needs a Soundbar?”

Today’s installation was the mighty .audio Tune Tot, one of my favourite small speakers, incredibly detailed, creating a vast soundstage with exceptional imaging that’s often compared to larger speakers, making them feel like a true “mini Wilson” experience with magical room filling performance. This pair was finished in a custom paint colour selected by the customer to match the bespoke furniture.

After a demonstration with the customer, we partnered the speakers with the K-300i amplifier, which provides a powerful dynamic sound with a detailed tight bass with excellent clarity, speed and agility.

This very compact and versatile system is perfect for music and movies.

‘Let me tell you about the time I was with the …’

Today’s install was for a renowned music journalist who has spent his career up close and personal with some of the biggest names in the music industry.

The brief - ‘I want a system that recreates the energy of being at the front of the stage in the press pit’

The Speakers - .audio Watt Puppy, one of the most iconic speaker designs. The Puppy holds the dual 8” woofers which deliver an impactful low end and the Watt includes the 7” midrange and 1” silk dome tweeter, which provide pin point imaging and delivers a wide soundstage.

The Amplifier - The Pedulum is re-writing the rule book on what is possible from an integrated amplifier, grip, texture and timing.

The Source - LP12 Turntable, produces an engaging, rhythmic drive to ensure with detail and excitement is extracted from the customers extensive vinyl collection.
