Elevate is a luxury wellness retreat company that wal offering high-end experiences, but didn’t have a website or branding to reflect that.

We immersed ourselves into the brand by attending one of their retreats and captured their essence in their rebrand.

WordPress just had another update and we’re now at 6.4!

So, what’s new for the WordPress community? We’ve picked some of our fave updates:

We still build our WordPress websites from scratch so a lot of these changes don’t affect us, but many of our clients still get us to help with their themed sites.

The world has been in a bit of turmoil lately and it’s made many of us feel quite hopeless and down about life.

There are clearly super pressing issues happening, but are marketing/PR teams supposed to address these issues in their content?

Whilst on the one hand it feels ignorant to just start shouting about your promotions and the great work you’re doing while people are losing their lives, if brands are not directly connected to these issues, what do they say about them?

It’s so tricky and such a difficult time for any marketing/PR team at the moment.

In fact, we just spent the last year rebuilding our own website so it’s really clean… even though it’s still animated with custom graphics.

So, how do you lower the carbon of your website?

Here are our top 6 tips for doing so:

- Only use images and video where necessary
- Use formats such as webp and AVIF for your images
- Host your videos externally (e.g. YouTube) and do NOT autoplay them
- Use system fonts or at least upload your font locally
- Delete anything you don’t need
- Use a green website hosting company
