So in 2003 I released along with my then co writer Adrian Corker our debut album as Corker/Conboy. It wasn’t our first record together but it was the first under this new name and possibly the first one that was really any good. As an entire album anyway.
It was the first record we made using Logic and a Mac as the recording device. Everything before was either on tape or ADAT. So a world of new possibilities was opened up to us for the first time. Everything was played by us rather than previously relying heavily on sampling. We had a drum kit, a bunch of electronic and acoustic instruments and a new studio space.
Weirdly, all these years later, it is now apparently a “hip” record. Some of “the kids” are well into it. Including US trio Purelink who have kindly made a remix for us which is now coming out on a limited 12”. This along with a fully remastered digital version of the album which will be available on streaming services for the first time.
The album is called In Light of That Learnt Later. It does, even if I do say so myself, sound pretty good and has dated rather well.
Right now it is up on band camp for pre-orders of both the 12” and digital LP.
Hope you all enjoy it.
