So in 2003 I released along with my then co writer Adrian Corker our debut album as Corker/Conboy. It wasn’t our first record together but it was the first under this new name and possibly the first one that was really any good. As an entire album anyway.

It was the first record we made using Logic and a Mac as the recording device. Everything before was either on tape or ADAT. So a world of new possibilities was opened up to us for the first time. Everything was played by us rather than previously relying heavily on sampling. We had a drum kit, a bunch of electronic and acoustic instruments and a new studio space.

Weirdly, all these years later, it is now apparently a “hip” record. Some of “the kids” are well into it. Including US trio Purelink who have kindly made a remix for us which is now coming out on a limited 12”. This along with a fully remastered digital version of the album which will be available on streaming services for the first time.

The album is called In Light of That Learnt Later. It does, even if I do say so myself, sound pretty good and has dated rather well.

Right now it is up on band camp for pre-orders of both the 12” and digital LP.

Hope you all enjoy it.

This is good news. Rather upsetting for all the internet companies that don't actually make anything and make their money from the lowest form of capitalism that is advertising. Good news for us and our data.

As a critical service Mr Mac will be continuing repairs throughout lockdown. We are here to keep your essential laptops, desktops, phones and tablets up and running.

When bringing items for repair please can you observe a few Covid guidelines.

No cases or bags for items. If you can give the laptop or phone a wipe before handing over. I will be doing the same with alcohol wipes before working on the device and before returning the item to you. I also do not require power supplies, keyboards or any other accessories.

When dropping off please observe social distancing rules. You will be meeting at my front door only. There are currently no one-on-one consultations or tutorials in my workshop.

Mr Mac is an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician servicing ONLY Apple products.

Mr Mac has been closed for the last 3 weeks following government guidelines on social distancing and the need to work from home. In this time I have been thinking about how to run a reduced service, still following guidelines, and to respond to demand from people needing to work from home. I am now running a reduced service for Mr Mac repairs.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday I will be at Parkhall Centre in West Norwood from 10-12am only. I will be taking in Mac, iPad and iPhone repair jobs.

Please ring me when you get here and I will meet you outside (with appropriate social distancing) and talk through the job. I will then collect (wearing gloves) and log your device/s. They will be taken to my workshop for repairs and I will contact you when complete. There will be no entry to the building.

Timescales will be longer than normal - I will need to throughly clean and quarantine devices for a period before I can work on them. Also, parts are harder to obtain, with longer delivery times than normal.

I am contactable in all the usual ways at any time. Thanks. Mr Mac.
