Where do we come from? Formed in early 2010, Kinetic IT’s staff and management come from trusted backgrounds in varying IT infrastructure sectors and have a vast wealth of experience within the industry. Our diverse and agile ability as a company allow us to combine our specialist skill sets to give our clients as much or as little as they want in the areas they need to get the job done! We also work with a selection of trusted partner companies and consultants that offer anything outside of our own specialisations such as M&E, security and construction, so a full turnkey solution can be offered to each and every client. How do we do it? It’s easy! We spend time with our clients from day one to ensure that their needs are completely tailored to and the correct calibre of personnel is in place to achieve the results they want! A Week in the Life of Pawel – Project Coordinator 👷‍♂️📋🚗

Behind every successful project is someone making sure all the moving parts come together — and that’s exactly what Pawel does as one of our Project Coordinators at Kinetic IT!

Pawel works across a variety of projects, working closely with local authorities, councils and Mick Kilroy and our wider project teams.
This week, Pawel has been supporting our Opticore project, where there’s been plenty happening on site.

His role has involved coordinating with the engineers to understand the requirements, confirm the planned works and make sure everyone is aligned before work gets underway.

The project itself includes a range of technical works, including:

🔌 Patching and reconfiguring existing structured cabling
🔎 Tracing and identifying services required for meeting room operation
🧪 Testing existing cabling and identifying any faults or remedial works required
🛠️ Re-terminating faulty cabling, cable management and minor rerouting
📡 Installing and connecting wireless access points
🔦 Extending and re-terminating existing OM4 fibre links, followed by testing and certification

Pawel has also been out on site meeting the engineers , helping confirm exactly what needs to be delivered and making sure the process is clear from the outset.

When he’s not on site, there’s plenty happening behind the scenes — catching up on emails, carrying out surveys, preparing quotes for the Project Managers and looking for new opportunities for Kinetic IT.

It’s a role that involves communication, organisation, problem-solving and a good understanding of what’s happening both on site and behind the scenes.

From picking up materials, to meeting customers and engineers, surveying sites and coordinating works, no two days are quite the same.

Another busy week, another week of keeping Kinetic IT moving! 💪

A Week in the Life of Our Office Team 🏢☕🍪

Behind every successful project is a team working hard behind the scenes to keep everything moving — and our office team is at the heart of it all!

From the PMO team, Accounts and Project Management, our office is a busy hub where collaboration, communication and, of course, the occasional debate over which biscuits to buy, happen every day! 😂

Our PMO team are the bridge between our teams, clients, contractors and stakeholders, making sure everyone has the information and support they need to keep projects moving forward.

On a day-to-day basis, that means everything from managing valuations, ordering materials, preparing quotes and cost sheets, maintaining training matrices, and arranging accommodation for our staff and contractors. We work closely with the Project Managers, Accounts team and wider business to make sure the right things happen at the right time.

It's not always about spreadsheets, figures and deadlines, though. Our office is also about teamwork, problem-solving, plenty of communication and having a laugh along the way — whether that's debating the office biscuit selection or getting together to plan our next charity event and find ways to give back to the community. 🍪❤️

Whether we're liaising with stakeholders, supporting our teams on the ground, keeping projects financially on track or simply making sure the office runs smoothly, there's always something happening.
We're the link that keeps people, projects and stakeholders connected.

National Wellness Month 💚

August is National Wellness Month

A good reminder that while we're often focused on keeping our projects, systems and sites running smoothly, we also need to make sure we're looking after the people who make it all happen.

The data centre industry is fast-paced.

🟨 Complex projects

🟨24/7 environments

Multiple teams, contractors and stakeholders working together to keep critical infrastructure moving.

But behind every successful project is a team of people.

And just like the infrastructure we work with, people perform at their best when they are properly supported, maintained and given the right environment to succeed.

Wellness doesn't always mean a major change. Sometimes it's as simple as taking a proper break, checking in with a colleague, getting away from the screen, staying active, or recognising when someone might need a little extra support.

For us, looking after people isn't separate from delivering great work — it's part of it.

Because the strongest projects aren't just built on technology and infrastructure.

They're built by healthy, supported and engaged teams.

A Week in the Life of a Hyperscale Project Manager ✈️

Every successful project begins with people who are willing to go the extra mile.

This week, we're shining a spotlight on Michael Sing, one of our Hyperscale Project Managers, whose role takes him across Europe and around the world to support our clients and engineering teams.

The week often starts early on Monday, travelling to Frankfurt to prepare for another busy week on site.

No matter the destination, Michael's focus remains the same: working closely with clients to get project start dates across the line, coordinating engineering teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. From managing daily site operations to overcoming challenges alongside clients and stakeholders, no two days are ever the same.

A key part of the role is ensuring our environmental, health and safety standards are second nature to every member of the team. Equally important is building high-performing teams that demonstrate versatility on the ground—stepping in wherever needed, even outside their immediate scope, to keep projects moving and deliver the best outcomes for our clients.

By Friday, it's time to recharge and prepare to do it all again the following week.

Behind every successful hyperscale project is a team of dedicated professionals whose commitment, leadership, adaptability, and expertise keep everything on track—wherever in the world the project may be.

Over in Amsterdam, our Technical Logistics team has been providing vital support for our Augmentation project, ensuring installation engineers have everything they need to focus on delivering for our client from day one.

From coordinating deliveries and managing equipment to organising materials and responding to the changing demands of a live project, every detail is carefully planned to keep operations running smoothly.

There's nothing better than taking the time to learn from colleagues and strengthen the relationships that help us work safely and effectively every day.

Recently, our Head of Technical Logistics & Managed Services, Paul Baker and PMO Manager, Caley Hudson, visited Circet's offices in Slough, where they had the pleasure of meeting with the Director of Data Centre Services, Pauric Sheridan and the wider Circet DCS team along with HSEQ Manager, Sarah Ging.

The visit gave us the opportunity to attend the Assure training session and rollout for the Circet DCS Project Managers and wider team. It was great to gain first-hand insight into the future of our Health & Safety processes as they transition onto a modern electronic platform. Seeing the system in action and understanding how it will enhance compliance, reporting and day-to-day operations was both informative and valuable.

Visits like these are a fantastic opportunity to collaborate, exchange ideas, and continue learning from the experts within our business. By sharing knowledge across departments, we strengthen our teams and reinforce our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in everything we do.

Bringing the Team Together for Spread a Smile 🩷

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting Spread a Smile, Team Kinetic recently came together for a fundraising feast filled with great food, generous donations, and even better company.

Everyone contributed by bringing along a variety of delicious dishes and picky bits to share, creating a fantastic spread for the whole team to enjoy. More importantly, every donation made throughout the day will help support the incredible work that Spread a Smile does for seriously ill and hospitalised children and their families.

It was a brilliant opportunity to step away from our desks, spend time together, and remember how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, prepared food, and helped make the event such a success. Your generosity and enthusiasm truly reflect the values we strive to uphold at Kinetic IT.

This is just one of many fundraising activities we'll be taking part in throughout the year, and we're looking forward to continuing our support for this wonderful charity.

🌍 From Lisbon to Berlin, with stops in Oxford, Wales and Maidenhead... our Data Centre team has certainly been keeping busy! 🚀

Over the last few months, we've been delivering White Space fit outs for hyperscale clients, covering everything from:
⚡ Connectivity
🔌 Three-phase power and in-rack PDUs
🗄️ Rack and frame installations
🔒 Security caging
❄️ Hot & cold aisle containment and airflow management
📹 CCTV security cabling
But that's not all...

We've also successfully completed two critical infrastructure migrations over separate weekends, working through the night to ensure minimal downtime and a flawless rebuild within our customers' critical maintenance windows. These projects don't just happen they take military level planning, detailed site audits, meticulous preparation, and an incredible team to pull everything together.

From specialist air-suspension vehicles to flight cases and protective equipment, every detail matters when you're moving critical infrastructure and our team delivered from start to finish. 💪
A massive shout-out to Wayne Steele and Paul Sawyer 👏 Your professionalism, dedication and eye for detail have been outstanding. Thank you for everything you've done to make these projects such a success!
