It’s been a while since I last posted—work has kept me busy! So, what do I do for a living? I work in cybersecurity, and it’s truly my passion—I eat, sleep, and breathe it 😊.
I’m constantly learning and experimenting in my lab, applying new techniques to my daily tasks. With cyber threats evolving every day, staying vigilant and adopting best practices is essential to protect our data.
One of the tools I strongly advocate for is OPNsense, an open-source firewall that delivers enterprise-grade features at a fraction of the cost—without compromise.
🧩 I’m a big fan of the Zenarmor plugin, which adds powerful analytics and deep packet inspection to OPNsense. And now, there’s exciting news from Deciso: a new plugin called Q-Feed is coming to OPNsense!

🚨 What is Q-Feed?
Q-Feed is a threat intelligence service that provides real-time lists of malicious IPs and domains. It integrates with OPNsense to automatically update firewall rules and DNS blocklists—helping prevent connections to harmful sites.
There’s a free version available, and a premium subscription offers more frequent updates and a broader set of indicators.
