🚨 UK CARE WORKERS — IMPORTANT HOME OFFICE UPDATE 🇬🇧

If you’re a **Care Worker or Senior Care Worker** in the UK and your employer’s **sponsor licence has been revoked**, there is an important new Home Office update you should know about.

📅 Home Office guidance updated: **September 2026**

Under a new **temporary arrangement**, the Home Office guidance says a person’s permission must NOT be cancelled where:

✅ They hold permission on the Skilled Worker / Health and Care Worker route
✅ They are an eligible Care Worker or Senior Care Worker under the specified occupation codes
✅ The ONLY reason for cancellation would be their sponsor’s licence being revoked

⚠️ IMPORTANT: This does NOT mean the general 60-day rule has been completely removed.

The arrangement is temporary and subject to regular review. If there is another reason for cancelling your permission, the normal cancellation rules can still apply.

If your sponsor’s licence has been revoked, DON’T simply wait.

Start looking for suitable new sponsored employment and get the right support as early as possible.

In England, government-funded regional partnerships are available to support eligible displaced international care workers, including help finding a new employer who can sponsor them.

For a UK Standard Visitor Visa, simply uploading lots of documents does not make an application strong.

Your application should clearly explain:

✈️ Why are your parents visiting the UK?
💷 Who will pay for the trip?
🇮🇳 What genuine ties do they have to India?
🏠 Where will they stay in the UK?
📄 What financial and supporting evidence is available?
✍️ What should be explained in the cover letter?

For retired parents, relevant evidence may include pension records, bank statements, fixed deposits, property documents and other genuine financial/personal ties.

If their son or daughter in the UK is sponsoring the visit, sponsor, employment, financial, immigration-status and accommodation evidence may also be relevant.
