A behind-the-scenes look at our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test rig.

This rig runs 3,000+ automated tests, 24/7 against real PlugStream EVSE hardware, including the PlugStream 7T, as well as our backend services.

We use HIL testing as part of our QA process when promoting software from develop → staging → production, alongside continuous testing that helps us validate the full charging journey end-to-end.

It means we can test real hardware, real firmware behaviour, OCPP flows, backend services, and edge cases long before changes reach customers.

It helps reduce missed scheduled charging windows by checking for sleeping-vehicle behaviour and retrying the charger-side session path where supported. It also gives drivers and support teams a clearer route to understand what needs attention if charging still cannot start.

It will not override every vehicle sleep state, because vehicle behaviour varies by model, firmware and settings. But it adds a smarter, more resilient handover between your schedule, tariff window and vehicle.

Following EO Charging entering administration, we know some customers may be feeling uncertain about the future support of their charging estate.

PlugStream is offering practical help through PlugStream Sentinel, our managed EV charging support, monitoring and migration service for commercial sites.

Our approach is simple:

Assess first. Preserve working hardware where practical. Migrate supported OCPP chargers where possible. Replace only where needed.

If your organisation uses EO Charging hardware, EO Cloud, or an EO-supported site and you are unsure what to do next, we can help you understand your options calmly and clearly.

This may include:

* Reviewing your existing charging estate
* Checking whether chargers can be migrated or supported
* Identifying connectivity or platform dependencies
* Planning a staged replacement route where required
* Helping keep commercial and fleet charging sites operational

We are not EO Charging, and we cannot guarantee every installation can be supported or migrated, but we will help where we practically can.

MyPlugStream app update 🚗⚡

Our latest iOS app build has been approved by the App Store, adding support for push notifications.

This gives us the ability to keep customers informed about key events such as charger readiness status changes, charging activity, energy usage, firmware updates, charger alerts, and other important service notifications.

It is an important step in making PlugStream more helpful day to day — giving customers better visibility of their charge point and charging activity, directly from the app.
