You've probably heard the brain can hold seven things at once, give or take two.
It comes from a 1956 paper by George Miller. Even Miller wasn't convinced. He called the number "a pernicious, Pythagorean coincidence". 🧠
Later research puts the real limit at about four.
That matters for training. Ask people to hold seven new things at once and you're already past what the brain can manage.
