When Facebook identified the success of their Marketplace, they extended it to Instagram. As of today, almost all social platforms offer similar functionality.

The UK Social Commerce market is valued at £6.6 billion. Over 20% of this market value is attributable to businesses selling apparel. This means that clothing worth over £1.5 billion is sold using social media and this is projected to grow by over 30% each year.

Additionally, a study by BT shows that 1 in 4 small businesses sell more on social media than in-store or on their website.

Social Commerce offers an opportunity for all retailers to increase their revenue.
