“We’ve found someone cheaper…”
It’s a phrase we hear often. But in our line of work, cheaper usually means cut corners — and that comes at a higher cost later.
This is a photo our engineer took when we returned to site after we were told they found anther contractor cheaper. Shocking is a understatement. This is a clear and blatant breach of BS7671 Regulations, specifically Regulation 464.2 (Isolation for Mechanical Maintenance) Regulation 301.1 (Equipment Selection) With such a high risk of escape of water, the well positioned extension lead (not) has the potential to cause harm to life.
