If you could start a project what would you do?

Starting personal projects can be such a good way to:

1. Reaffirm your knowledge
2. Showcase your skills
3. Have something to talk about in interviews

It doesn’t have to be massive it can start as either frontend or backend whatever fits your needs - you can even use open source code to get you started.

If you’re someone that feels like they’re needing a push to build upon the skills you have taking ownership of a project can be really fun and useful.

Your Mindset in Tech 💞

Last week we had our first interactive workshop with and it was a success.

Big takeaways:

👀 Accept that it’ll take time to learn technologies but that you’ll always know more than you think.

👀 Consider what your mindset is like on a day to day as well as on a long term basis - what are your strategies for managing stress?

👀 Choose the technology roles that spark joy not the ones that you think you should be doing.

Power Shift : Leading Women in Tech 🌟

It was great to attend event and to hear from the incredible panellists on their journeys to tech and within tech.

Some great advice I loved:

🌟Aligning to your mission and purpose is so important.

🌟 Rest is revolutionary - giving yourself the time to rest when needed can be what helps you to realign your life.

🌟 At work fine the ‘plugs’ these are the people that have the inside scoop that maybe you wouldn’t know about.

🌟 The power of squad and of having people in your corner that help to uplift you not just professionally but personally too.
