Projects can differ hugely. And plenty uncontrollable factors contribute to this.
As an example, have a look at the graph visual. This graph represent two projects similar in scope and budget. Whilst similar on paper, the actual overall project hours over the stages are completely different.
Balancing this unpredictability with hiring new staff is difficult, making prior data and insightful forecasting more and more valuable.
