Everyone has probably read or learned that the European Union has committed to net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
What does being carbon neutral mean for the ordinary person? How can the average person actually become carbon neutral?
We all leave a carbon footprint through our daily activities.
We live somewhere, travel, eat, work, take care of the household, etc.
At , we are not here to judge, we are here to offer help and enable people to live their fullest lives with the best possible impact on our environment.
So how do we do that at ?
1. The very first step is to download our app on Google Play or the Apple Store and sign up. You can also browse the app as a guest, but if you want to work with the data for your carbon footprint, you need to register.
2. Fill out our carbon calculator - if we want to improve something, we need to know what our starting point is - in this case, what our carbon footprint is.
3. Once we know the value of our carbon footprint it is up to us which way we choose to offset it.
• In the app, everyone can start offsetting their carbon footprint with their more sustainable daily activities, which they also post to inspire other users. Each user can invite their friends, colleagues, family to the app and they can inspire and motivate each other with their carbon offsetting activities.
• If we want to go even further than just carbon offsetting activities, we can also choose one of the four long-term subscriptions and become one of the eco heroes whose contribution goes to one of our certified global carbon removals projects.
• Of course, if we are worried about our carbon footprint and know that we will not be able to offset it completely with our own activities - here too we have the option of immediate carbon offsetting by purchasing certified carbon credits.
The app is in 5 European languages, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian, and translations into other languages are forthcoming. We want to make it understandable to as many users as possible and in their own language.
Does that sound easy to you? Yes, it is.
In fact, our goal at was to design and develop the app so that it could be understood by us, ordinary people and users who are not directly specialists but want to help to fight the climate change.🌍
