When 12-year-old Dominic came off his mountain bike in Conkwell Woods, his friend Henry (aged 15) calmly stepped into action.

Through his dad being a Scout Leader, Henry was able to put Dominic in the recovery position, keep him warm, call 999, get help from some dog walkers and text their mums to let them know what was happening.

The signal was poor but importantly, Henry used on the 999 call.

This meant that pilot Simon, doctor David and specialist critical care paramedic Rocky were able to navigate to the boys in minutes, delivering the rapid care that Dominic needed before transferring him by air to .

A huge well done to Dominic and Henry for bravely sharing their story and advice to other children ahead of the summer holidays!
