His journey from warehouse assistant to cable cutting operative to Internal Sales Advisor is a story of . Today, Stavri provides support and solutions that keep customers’ projects running smoothly, helping to reduce downtime and prevent unnecessary returns.

Recognised for his excellence in developing component package solutions, Stavri was proudly awarded the Curiosity award for improving first-time fix rates, boosting lift uptime and client KPI performance - a true testament to his innovation and contribution to the business.

Stavri shares "helping customers get the correct materials on time, so they can do their job efficiently – that’s what drives me. No two days are the same – whether I’m preparing quotations, sharing product knowledge, or recommending the correct materials to keep customers projects running smoothly, it's rewarding".

Reliability in Motion at A&A - For 19 years, Marcila has been a steady force ensuring customers get their orders as promised. From carefully picking and packing with expertise to overseeing van deliveries - all to ensure every order arrives on time.

She finds joy in the process of picking and packing, knowing these actions have a direct impact on customer satisfaction. As she puts it, “the best part of my work is that I get to do what I am passionate about. I enjoy helping my colleagues, whether it’s printing orders or checking the van deliveries - we’re all in it together.”

With her passion for the company and her commitment to seeing A&A grow, Marci continues to be a cornerstone of the warehouse team – ensuring detail and customer satisafaction is at the heart of long-term success.

Dean Watson: 9 + years of growth at A&A!

Dean’s journey reflects progression in its truest sense – from picker & packer to goods in support, loading of deliveries and this year stepping up as Team and Project Team Leader.

In his new role, Dean leads warehouse operations, from revamping layouts to improving goods loading procedures - driving lasting efficiencies across the business.

His responsibilities span from setting up delivery vans, coordinating drivers for on-time orders, ensuring accuracy and quality. His passion for the role is reflected in his commitment to quality: no delays, correct packaging and efficient deliveries.

Leading with vision and purpose, Dean continually drives operations forward, championing adoption of EV vans and app-based tracking of deliveries. His leadership reflects adaptability and determination to strive for growth.

In his words: “The nine years at A&A have been invaluable and rewarding - I am grateful for it. Every day is a chance to learn something new and keep pushing through.”

Steve Rugg stands as a pillar of reliability, expertise, and relationship-driven service with over 22 years in the electrical industry. He began his journey at WF Electrical, honing his skills before joining A&A, where he has navigated a multifaceted career with us.

Steve’s hard work and dedication in the past years have left no stone unturned in the business. Dedicating eight years to the Internal Sales Team with a special focus on key accounts and exports, and now driving excellence at the Trade Counter - Steve continues to be an invaluable asset to the team.

Throughout his career, his ethos has remained constant: a commitment to always putting the customer first. Steve shares “nothing compares to the value of face-to-face interactions. I thrive on listening to customers, offering tailored solutions, and making certain that every order is not just placed, but placed correctly.

Diana: A symbol of growth, grit, and genuine customer care

With over 15 years at A&A, Diana’s journey from Warehouse Assistant to Supervisor is a true story of . Her rise has especially been impactful from when Luis Joao and A&A’s strategic move toward digital transformation materialised. Embracing tech-led processes and ditching outdated, paper-heavy systems, Diana has led from the front - boosting productivity and streamlining operations.

Diana holds an unwavering drive for customer satisfaction that sets her apart. From maintaining accurate system information on product availability and stock levels, to ensuring the warehouse flow is streamlined to ease access to popular products, Diana's ‘can-do’ attitude to order fulfilment, if that means keeping the doors open till late to meet for a critical deadline, it'll be done. In her own words: “It’s about going the extra mile. If a customer has an urgent order, we’ll stay open to make sure it’s ready. That’s how we create value - they know we’ll deliver. Literally.”

Diana’s hands-on approach is the heartbeat of her leadership style - She shares “Working at A&A is like being part of a family,”. “It can be challenging, but for all the right reasons. This month, we’re shining a light on Joanne Smith, our HR / Operations Administrator. With over twenty years of experience at A&A, Joanne has been integral to our success. She brings a wealth of knowledge across the business, where she has built strong communication and organisational skills.

In her current role, Joanne ensures seamless internal support across all functions, whilst also driving compliance with ISO standards.
In recent years, ISO accreditations have been achieved with no recommendations – an accomplishment Joanne can be extremely proud of. In addition, Joanne ensures that all servicing for onsite equipment and health & safety assessments are adeptly managed, to maintain compliance and create a safe, well-organised workplace. Joanne comments: "Over two decades have passed incredibly quickly, I have seen so much change and progression which has led to the business being in such a strong position today. I’ve had the pleasure of working across many functions within the business and take great pride in building positive relationships, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a strong working environment."

A prime example of how we keep through our pillars with solid supplier relationships.

A&A takes pride in reliable and responsive supply chains. When one of our local organisations was unexpectedly running out with their PPE order, we were ready to step in. A big shout to our long standing partnership with our trusted supplier Portwest, we were able to turn around high - quality, branded products in 2 days, preventing the local customer from a crisis. A special thank you to Steve from Portwest, who went above and beyond by delivering hand goods directly to our trade counter. This order is now with local customer - just as promised and on time.

This is a testament to our people working with purpose and our processes to support our customers when it matters most.
