Coding meaning - change the default settings in your car which can't be changed in iDrive menu. Coding is not a hardware change is to enable some of the features which are disable by default.
The following are some of the examples of what a coding can change to the car. Some of the following features are not applicable for some models.
- Enable video in motion, watching while driving
- Enable USB to watch video (NBT only)
- Enable XVID, XVCD, OGG codec for USB videos
- Automatic side mirror folding with just single click on door locking button.
- Seat Belt notification sound time duration reduced or disable it.
- Engine Auto Start-Stop (remember on your last setting or Disable by Default on start up).
- M Performance start up scene. (HU-NBT only)
- Enable Sport Display (kw & torque) - on some models don't work
- Enable digital speed on instrument cluster display.
- Door handle LED active when reversing - 3 series only
- M-Performance logo in dashboard
- Change angel eyes headlamp brightness to 100% (work only on factory fitted xenons)
- Change interior ambient lighting brightness to 100% (brighter than default) - with success on two 3 series 2012 and 2013. π
- Button on key fob/Driver Side will be enabled to CLOSE the trunk (applicable for models with power trunk close feature only)
- Turns off radio and navigation when the driver door is opened
- Air Conditioning will remember if βOffβ or βOnβ from previous shutdown
- Transfer Phone's Ringtone to Vehicle - iphone only
- Enable Tyre Pressure and Temperature Readings - Only if tyre sensors are on the vehicle
- Windows roll up without interruption when opening door
- Angel eyes as Daytime Running - with or without rear taillight
- Set fog lights as welcome Lights Along with Angel Eyes
- lock/unlock acoustical sound (for cars with factory alarm)
- high beam assist (will work after coding only if car is equipped with camera behind windscreen mirror)
