We are experiencing an inbound attack on our email servers at the moment.

All data is safe & secure.

We are currently seeing a large volume of automated connection attempts against the mail servers from many different computers around the world. This is commonly known as a botnet: a network of compromised machines being used to repeatedly try random email addresses or force connections to the server.

The mail system is rejecting these attempts, but the sheer number of connections can temporarily make it harder for genuine users to connect with their email clients (and via WebMail), a bit like a phone line being constantly rung by nuisance callers.

We are applying additional filtering and temporary blocks to reduce the load while keeping legitimate email delivery protected.

We understand the importance of email for all clients and are doing all we can to resolve.

Unfortunately, these attacks are more commonplace and somewhat outside of our control. Regardless - our team is on the case to bring it to a close ASAP.

*UPDATE* 5/6/26 ~ 23:32 - we have mitigated a large portion of the attack and things are returning to normal. This may return again but we will continue to monitor it and act accordingly.

*Update 6/6/26* ~ 11:40AM - We believe we have blocked off the attack entirely now and will continue to monitor the situation. All systems have been stable the last 12 hours approx.

A photo of your therapy room can help a potential client feel safe and settled before they even arrive.

It reduces anxiety, sets expectations and shows you've thought about their experience.

If you work online, a calm, tidy background in a headshot works just as well.

Either way, showing your space adds warmth and helps someone imagine being there.

Thinking about a photoshoot? We have tips on what tends to work best.

Clients want to know you're properly qualified before they reach out — and that's completely understandable.

List your training, accreditations and memberships clearly on your site, and don't bury them at the bottom of the page where no one will find them.

Trust builds quickly when people feel informed and reassured before they've even sent a message.

Not sure what to include or where to put it? We can guide you through it.

Potential clients don't always know the difference between therapy approaches, and they shouldn't have to.

Plain, clear language wins every time on a services page.

Explain what you offer, who it helps and what someone can expect from working with you.

Don't assume they already know the terminology.

Make it easy for them to say yes.

Not sure how to explain what you do simply? Let us know and we can explain all about our extra copywriting service.

Your homepage has one job: make someone want to find out more.

Long blocks of text, confusing layouts, stock photos that say nothing and no clear next step all push people away before they've had a chance to connect with you.

Keep it focused, keep it human and make it as easy as possible for someone to take that next step.

Want us to take a look at your homepage? We're always happy to help.

It sounds almost too simple, but it's surprisingly easy to miss.

Log in to your directory profiles and make sure your website address is there, correct and up to date.

An outdated or missing link can quietly cost you enquiries every single week.

While you're there, check your contact details and availability too so they are consistent with the information that's on your site.

While you're at it, make sure everything is consistent across every platform you're listed on.

If your directory profile doesn't link back to your website, you're missing a real opportunity.

Your profile can only do so much so linking back to your website helps potential clients find out more about you before they get in touch, and it sends a positive trust signal to Google at the same time.

It's one of the simplest things you can do and it takes less than five minutes to fix and nowadays, clients look for a website address on your directory listing to find out more about you.

If you are not sure how to add your URL to your listing, let us know!

Directory listings are like tiny ads sitting beside all your competitors, while your own website is your online base that builds trust, looks more professional, and lets you control how you show up online.

With a standalone site you can add blogs, videos, integrate a booking platform, email, and link to your Google Business Profile, so when someone searches “counsellor in [your town]” they find you, not just a long list on a directory.

Want both working together for your practice? That's exactly what we help with.

You can overthink your headshot for your website.

You may think you need a professional photographer but that's not the case.

Good photos don't need to be expensive or done in a studio.

While a blurry or dark headshot can look unprofessional, suggesting that the details don't matter to you, you don't need to spend a fortune.

Your photo just needs to be clear, well-lit and professional enough to help someone feel they can trust you before they've even been in touch.

And this is something you can easily achieve with your camera on your phone.

Not sure where to start with photos? Ask the team for tips.
