The 2021 AI Index: Major growth despite the pandemic.

The last decade was a pivotal one for the AI industry, and 2020 saw AI substantially increase its impact on the world despite the chaos brought about by the COVID pandemic: Technologists made significant strides in massive language and generative models; the United States witnessed its first drop in AI hiring ever - pointing to a maturation of the industry - while hiring around the world increased; more dollars flowed to government use of AI than ever before, while colleges and universities offered students double the AI courses from a few years ago.

The 2021 AI Index is one of the most comprehensive reports about AI to date, analyzing and distilling patterns about AI's impact on everything from national economies to job growth to the analysis of technical progress within AI research itself, and analysis of the diversity (or lack of) among the people who create AI systems.

MyHeritage offers 'creepy' deepfake tool to reanimate dead

Deepfakes are computer-generated AI-driven videos that can be created from existing photos. The technology behind Deep Nostalgia was developed by Israeli firm D-ID. It used artificial intelligence and trained its algorithms on pre-recorded videos of living people moving their faces and gesturing.
On the MyHeritage site, historical figures such as Queen Victoria and Florence Nightingale are reanimated. And earlier this month, to mark his birthday, the firm put a video of Abraham Lincoln on YouTube using the technology.
The former US president appears in colour and is shown speaking.
People have begun posting their own reanimated ancestor videos on Twitter, with mixed responses. Some described the results as "amazing" and "emotional" while others expressed concern.
In December, Channel 4 created a deepfake Queen who delivered an alternative Christmas message, as part of a warning about how the technology could be used to spread fake.

Are deepfakes only videos ?

Deepfakes are not limited to just videos. Deepfake audio is a fast-growing field that has an enormous number of applications.
Realistic audio deepfakes can now be made using deep learning algorithms with just a few hours (or in some cases, minutes) of audio of the person whose voice is being cloned, and once a model of a voice is made, that person can be made to say anything.

Deepfake audio has medical applications in the form of voice replacement, as well as in computer game design – now programmers can allow in-gamer characters to say anything in real time rather than relying on a limited set of scripts that were recorded before the game was published.

Deepfake may be able to create so many positive things that you cannot even imagine. It all starts from the virtual digital model of yourself that you can use almost everywhere and ends helping cinematography in creating special features.

So what are the main benefits of our tech?

1. Convenience. Our technology helps you to do 2 things at the same time: listen to the conference and do your job.

2. Interactivity. You will create digital model of yourself in a few minutes.

3. Usefulness to third parties. It is always better to attend your conference because there are people waiting for your attention, right?

There are also some other cool benefits like flexibility cause you will be able to change your outfit and backgrounds, but it’s just an awesome detail;)

Keep calm and support Zoomer, guys!

Our world is tearing us apart. The level of social tension is becoming higher and higher. Well-fed, but mentally dissatisfied we survive... Informational wars, political polarisation and social stratification that we are not able to get rid of affect us all.

Technology used almost in every sphere of our life can be a destroyer if it is created by the evil. But what if we tell you that it can help you overcome the anxiety, examine the time management and just have fun?

That is exactly what we are aiming for. Zoomer Inc. is not just a “one-time project”. It is a family, an IT-company that will try to create awesome projects for you.

So stay tuned, guys. We are working 24/7.

With the widespread use of technology, companies of all sizes are increasingly comfortable with the idea of their employees working remotely. Whether making use of the free Wi-Fi at your favourite café or settling down with your laptop in the living room, flexible working is now more popular than ever. Of course, it’s been around for a while, but thanks to advances in modern technology, you can get as much work done away from the office as you would were you sat at your desk.

Where once companies were concerned about potential pitfalls and costs to business, they’re now seeing new opportunities and innovative solutions for streamlining processes to save time. Just think about how long it takes for an employee to get to the office when transport lets them down. Working remotely means they can simply head back home, fire up their machine and get cracking without having to find an alternative route in. And there’s the bonus of them being less stressed, which leads to improved workplace morale and a corresponding increase in productivity. If you want to see greater efficiency and reduced stress levels in your employees, anywhere working is something you should consider. As long as your systems are running smoothly, your staff can be as productive as always in a location that’s more convenient to them.

Type “the future of programming languages” into Google and it generates approximately 180,000,000 search returns.

You can read countless blogs debating the pros and cons of popular programming languages and which ones will dominate IT over the next decade.

For IT directors and chief operating officers, much of this discussion about the perfect programming language and pristine code is of limited interest. The thing that matters is whether the programming code is reliable, fast and flexible. Are IT projects finished on time and within budget? Does software performance meet service level agreements?

The future of programming isn’t about searching for the pristine and perfect code, or about a new programming language. It’s about writing less code − or in some cases, no code.

The most important trend in programming for the next decade will be using machine learning and artificial intelligence to automate much of coding.

AI and machine-based learning can automate coding and help programmers write faster and better code. When combined with intelligent “Integrated Development Environment” — software used by programmers when they are writing code in a specific platform, such as Visual Studio etc— it can save companies a lot of time and money.

Technology has increased the productivity of almost every industry in the world. Thanks to technology, we can even pay with bitcoins instead of using banks. The digital coin has been such a game changing factor, that many realised that this is the right time to open a bitcoin demo account.
When observed more closely, new things are discovered every day. Let’s take for instance when radio waves were discovered, radio broadcasts followed suit almost immediately. The same applies to the television and electricity. If no one had discovered that electricity could be generated, then the entertainment industry wouldn’t be at it’s current stage of development.
Technology improves daily lives; allowing to move physical storage units to virtual storage banks and more. Scientists of the time are also able to send astronauts to the moon thanks to technology.

Artificial Intelligence is based on the principle that human intelligence can be defined in a way that a machine can easily mimic it and execute tasks, from the most simple to those that are even more complex. The goals of artificial intelligence include learning, reasoning, and perception.

As technology advances, previous benchmarks that defined artificial intelligence become outdated. For example, machines that calculate basic functions or recognize text through optical character recognition are no longer considered to embody artificial intelligence, since this function is now taken for granted as an inherent computer function.

What is a Strong AI ?

Strong Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a theoretical form of machine intelligence that is equal to human intelligence. Key characteristics of Strong AI include the ability to reason, solve puzzles, make judgments, plan, learn, and communicate. It should also have consciousness, objective thoughts, self-awareness, sentience, and sapience.

Strong AI is also called True Intelligence or Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).

Strong AI does not currently exist. Some experts predict it may be developed by 2030 or 2045. Others more conservatively predict that it may be developed within the next century, or that the development of Strong AI may not be possible at all.

Deepfakes employ two separate sets of algorithms acting in conjunction: the first algorithm creates a video, and the second one tries to determine if the video is real or not. If the second algorithm can tell that the video is fake, the first algorithm tries again, having learned from the second algorithm what not to do. And the pair of algorithms go around and around until they spit out a result that the programmers feel is sufficiently real-looking.
