Teen Changemaker Nirvaan Somany Transforms Discarded Jeans into Lifesaving Warmth

When Delhi schoolboy Nirvaan Somany discovered that making just ONE pair of jeans requires 10,000 litres of water, he was shocked. Looking at his wardrobe, he realized he was wearing 50,000 litres worth of water in just five pairs of jeans.
But instead of just feeling guilty, he took action.

Project Jeans was born – a brilliant initiative that converts discarded denim into sleeping bags for the underprivileged.

The Impact So Far: ✓ 8,000+ pairs of jeans collected ✓ 1,000+ sleeping bags distributed ✓ Cities covered: Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune ✓ International relief: Turkey & Syria earthquake victims
