This is it, the time has come, its the final qualifying game,
Scotland must be at their very best, to get any points this time,
Brazil are five times champions, a reputation second to none,
Scotland must raise their game, or could soon be coming home.

Scotland have never beaten Brazil, in a World Cup match before,
They held them to a nil all draw, back in Germany in 74,
With luck they'll get a point, qualify with ease tonight,
And give the fans a chance, to drink beer and party all night.

Of course, even if they lose , they should qualify anyway,
Morocco should beat Haiti, so a small defeat is OK,
Then they'll progress to the last 32, and still remain on plan
With knockout football, can upsets happen, too bloody right they can.

A poem for the England Fans

So here we are, once again, the second qualifying game,
The lions under pressure, to get through the group again,
Second's OK, but 'group winners' , the least the fans will allow,
A win will relieve the pressure, Tuchel's secure, for now.

England usually slow starters, that's the recurring theme,
But the last game showed a side that the fans have seldom seen,
Kane, Bellingham and Rashford can score, no one denies those facts,
But they have to deliver the goods, you don't win games with stats.

Right now it's time to play Ghana, who remain unbeaten so far,
They can't be taken for granted, they too know how close they are,
We all hope that the team do the basics, simply just play as a team,
So the England fans can be happy, and keep living the World Cup Dream.

A little Poem for our England Team as they start their World Cup challenge 2026

The Lions we hope will roar again, on pitches across America,
Their World Cup starts on June 17th, once again they'll play Croatia,
England team in jerseys, with those three lions on their chest,
Last time's Quarter Finalists try again, to beat the very best.
England's pride will take the field, with passion and with flair,
Show the world how good they are, on the ground and in the air,
Football, it's a funny old game, filled with lows and highs,
But we'll love it if they're winning, under North American skies.
An entire nation will hold its breath,as England's opponents press,
And berate the match officials, to attempt to relieve the stress,
And every goal we'll celebrate as its played and replayed on TV,
Sweet Caroline" sung, Flags flown with pride, for all the world to see.
And should they win that elusive cup, and bring it back home to us,
They'll no doubt get a victory parade on an 'open top' London bus,
They'll show off that hard won trophy, though tired and bleary eyed,
And help in these most difficult times, to rebuild their nation's Pride.
