CONGRATULATIONS to Monster Island, who came third place in Safe Circles' first Hackathon for Women’s Safety Tech. Monster Island pitched an interactive and dynamic mobile game for 7 to 11-year-olds to provide a safe environment for children to learn to debunk the gender stereotypes that can lead to gender-based violence in wider society. They will receive £1,000 for start-up costs as well as continued support from their mentor and our experts.

It's been a couple of weeks but we are still incredibly proud of how well the Hackathon went and it was all thanks to our wonderful Hackers, mentors, experts, judges, sponsors and team!

CONGRATULATIONS to Safe Doors, led by Sujata Dongre, who came second place in Safe Circles' first Hackathon for Women’s Safety Tech. Safe Doors aims to provide immediate sanctuary for women and children facing domestic abuse by connecting them with other women or companies that will offer them a temporary place of refuge. They will receive £2,500 for start-up costs as well as continued support from their mentor and our experts.
