CONGRATULATIONS to Monster Island, who came third place in Safe Circles' first Hackathon for Women’s Safety Tech. Monster Island pitched an interactive and dynamic mobile game for 7 to 11-year-olds to provide a safe environment for children to learn to debunk the gender stereotypes that can lead to gender-based violence in wider society. They will receive £1,000 for start-up costs as well as continued support from their mentor and our experts.
It's been a couple of weeks but we are still incredibly proud of how well the Hackathon went and it was all thanks to our wonderful Hackers, mentors, experts, judges, sponsors and team!
Thank you to our Gold Sponsors GoCardless La Fosse Associates and Ipsos MORI and our Charity sponsors Refuge and Noble Tree Foundation, all of whom have led the promotion of this Hackathon and enabled us to award to teams deservedly!
