We were honoured to be invited to attend the launch of the 2026 Powys Business Awards in Newtown yesterday.

Having been proud winners of the Business in the Community Award 2025, it was fantastic to join fellow businesses, sponsors and organisers to celebrate the official launch of this year's awards and hear more about the opportunities available to businesses across Powys.

The Powys Business Awards continue to showcase the innovation, resilience and success of businesses throughout the county, and we would encourage any eligible business to consider entering.

Charcroft Electronics is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Llay.

This hands-on role is predominantly mechanical, with some electrical fault-finding, supporting the maintenance and improvement of specialist production equipment used in the manufacture of our film capacitors.

We're looking for someone who:
✔ Has maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing
✔ Enjoys problem solving and fault finding
✔ Has strong mechanical skills with some electrical knowledge
✔ Works well both independently and as part of a team
