We’ve completed phase 1 of the fibre build with Crai village and Felin Crai going live today with the first customers connected and getting 250Mbps download!!! So anyone who wants to get connected to ultrafast and ultra reliable broadband please contact us at [email protected] or on Facebook. Doesn’t matter if you managed to get a voucher we can connect you for our std. connection fee.

Good morning, a quick update on the fibre build in and around Crai.

Since the announcement regarding the pause of the Access Broadband Cymru we’ve been busy ensuring everyone that wanted a connection applied for a ABC voucher. Thanks to everyone who spread the word.

We have submitted our next round of build to the national park authorities and Powys County council. We are expecting to get approval later this week or early next week and our contractor is booked for
Mid August. We’re aiming to complete this work and the rest off the build by the end of the month. This includes areas such as Abercrai, Tanyfedw, Happy horse, cnewr estate, hoeldwr, gelliwlyb, Posty etc

Hopefully the forestry will also have the numbers of vouchers for us to build there too.

The first three connections went live at Cefn Crai last week. We will be starting to book installs with everyone over the next couple of weeks with an aim to connect everyone by the end of September.

We like to extend our thanks to everyone in Crai and Trecastle for their support and work in promoting this build and getting on board. Bringing fibre to Crai has happened thanks to the support we’ve had!

An announcement has just been made about the Welsh Governments ABC broadband grant scheme being paused. See here

You have until the 7th August 2024 (yes next week!) to apply for and have a grant approved for fibre. Unfortunately if we can’t claim the ABC vouchers we can’t guarantee building the network.

So please apply today if you want fibre. There is no cost to apply, you are not committing to anything.

I’ll repost the details of how to signup.
