Microsoft have announced their Windows 11 Ai driven recall system.

This has got the attention of worldwide privacy services, in the UK they are being investigated by the ICO which oversees all aspects of GDPR and other data protection laws in the UK.

What Ai Recall actually does amongst other things is take a screen shot every 30 seconds and store it 'locally' on your machine however what happens if you sell your machine, there could be the potential to leak all of your personal information to any bad actor who has your device, maybe borrowing it or bought it 2nd hand and you haven't taken the necessary steps to protect yourself.

Microsoft state that you can opt in or opt out however, past experience with Microsoft is that you may opt in without even realising it as no doubt it will be 'Recommended' so people who aren't tech savvy will apply it because Microsoft recommend it.

We at North Wales Computer Services who are not happy with the intrusion of Microsoft Co-pilot already in Windows and it's browser are taking steps to block it on PC's & Laptops we service, if you would like to take advantage of this please let us know.

More and more people are contacting me advising their anti virus or Microsoft accounts have expired and to either click to purchase or to sign in.

Any products that North Wales Computer Services supply are looked after by us and will not or have not expired and to simply ignore these scammers that constantly try to steal personal information and logins.

If any of our customers have any concerns - just to remind you we are here to help and to send us a screenshot and email it to me and I will respond

We have a couple of refurbished Windows 10 laptops for sale starting at £250 we only sell refurb laptops when we know their history and how they have been treated.

Please be aware of another scam text doing the rounds looking like this i think the authorities should buy up all these types of domains because that would at least take some of the credibility away from these crooks.

Ring doorbells and alarms have been very quiet today - Probably due to Amazon servers currently down since 3pm Good of them not to give the public the heads up.
This is a classic example why I would never trust a wireless alarm system that relies on 3rd party servers to work properly
