Hello!
I've neglected posting on my page for a while but will hopefully get into the habit.
So a quick introduction - I'm Mike, I've worked in the marketing industry for over 20 years now and recently went freelance with a focus on Google Ads, but i've worked across a lot of different channels.
If you're just getting started with marketing and not sure where to begin, I thought I'd give a quick breakdown of the main options available to you.
Google Ads
If you have a product that sells, or a service that's in demand, then I would definitely recommend Google Ads, it's not a magic wand and it should be seen as an investment and not a quick fix, but it can get you in front of people that are already searching for your product or service and can make you money if it's set up and managed well.
Facebook and Insta Ads
These are great if you have an attractive offer or an appealing product, however, you are putting your ads in their feed so strong creatives are a must.
Organic Social Media
Free, but time-consuming and probably a channel that everyone should start with. It's great for staying visible and building your own socials.
Email Marketing
I'm always surprised on how many businesses don't do this, it's still the best converting marketing channel and it's one of the best ways to stay in touch with your audience. More importantly it's one of the two things you will own. Your email marketing list and your website domain name.
SEO
SEO is dead right? AI is taken over.
Nope it will still be around for a long time yet and it's important that SEO is considered from day one. Having the right keywords on your website will help your website show up naturally in Google and drive high quality traffic. It's a longer game though.
Moving forwards, it will be more important than ever to have the right content on your website.
Content Marketing
Blogs, guides, video, tutorials - anything you can think of that's either helpful or entertaining or ideally a mixture of the two, we want people to keep coming back and it helps build trust in what you do.
So what should you be doing?
Well, it depends on your goals, budget and how quickly you need results. If you're not sure where to start, then i'm always happy to help with a bit of free advice.
