This Ford Transit Custom Crew Cab received a custom vehicle graphics treatment designed specifically for its white bodywork. Litho or digital? What’s actually the difference?

They’re both used to produce great-quality print, but the way they work — and the jobs they’re best suited for — can be very different.

Digital printing sends the artwork directly from a computer to the press, making it ideal for shorter runs, fast turnaround and personalised or variable print.

Lithographic printing uses printing plates to transfer ink onto paper. It really comes into its own for larger print runs, high-volume commercial work and projects where consistent colour is important.

So, which one is better?

Neither. It depends on the job.
