I am a little bit of a sucker for helping people understand digital technology but when I came across this I was really impressed and had to post about it.

If you want to help people understand the technology behind MiaB, then you can take a look inside one of our boxes, we'd recommend a transparent box. The board is all labeled up to tell you what each of the components do.

I've got the power! USB-C
This is the brain, a tiny computer.
The audio files are stored here.
This bit is the amplifier that sends sound to the speaker.
This bit connects to the RFID reader.
The DAC converts Digital Audio to Analog for the Amp.

I just love listening to people talking and telling stories maybe it's my Irishs heritage. I think that is why I like ignite so much - that kind of active listening process, providing a fascinating insight into other people's lives.

I will write a linkedin post about this but I'll have to conjure up some superlatives for that.

Of course if you were lucky enough to visit Palm House Sefton Park in the 90's you will be very familiar with his work.

Great night on Friday at the DoES Liverpool Film Night - Pants Labyrinth was a real hit, although the pants didn't go down well. as you can tell from the gritted teeth of the winner.

Well done Simon Jones for organising. Look forward to many more.

Some photos from last weekends Wirral MakeFest

I helped out on the DoES Liverpool stall telling people about all the great activities that take place at DoES Liverpool and pusing new thinking about how to use technology to engage people.

Although I loved my plant pot from Pat Link, and my Bookmark from Little Vintage Photography I did have the most fun explaining Museum in a Box to people. Teachers loved it and you can find out more here https://museuminabox.org/
